RichardMiami 4 Posted October 30, 2014 Lately, I have come to realize that a visit to Tourneau, with an open line of interest free credit, is an extremely dangerous place for me. There are THREE Tourneaus within easy drive of my home in Miami. I went there this past weekend, to see what was in stock/on special/negotiable. NOTE, even though Tourneau claims that they won't negotiate, if you are ready to buy, they are ready to bargain. It does take some patience, but in the end, I am three for three in getting discounts on their watches! Saturday was October 25th, exactly one month prior to my 65th birthday - this is as good an excuse as I needed to buy a watch. The piece I fell in love with is this one, the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronograph, with the 3313 in house movement. It is absolutely gorgeous. It is a grey on grey on silver watch, meaning if you are looking for something flashy, this ain't for you. The etched striping on the dial is meant to remind you of the teak planks on a boat. Having owned a boat with teak decking.. I can tell you that they nailed that look! Remember that teak is golden brown when wet, but a deep grey when dry. The watch is 44mm, but sits perfectly on my 7.5" wrist. I hardly know that it is there! The strap is butter soft leather, and the deployant snaps shut with a nice positive click. I wore the watch this week, through 4 flights in 3 days, and it was an absolute pleasure to wear. The chrono works smoothly, and snaps back to an absolutely perfect 12:00 position. Chrono minutes at 3., chrono seconds at 6 and running seconds at 9. The date wheel at 4:30 is easy to read, and subtle, as it is a darker grey it blends into the dial beautifully. There is NOTHING I can say about the co-axial movement that will do it justice. This is, IMHO, one of the finest in house movements this side of Patek. I wish I had a good macro camera to show you, but I don't, so all you get are my crappy pics and then I am posting Omega's pics and video to help you see the watch as it truly is. Don't look for this on M2M in your lifetime! It is going to stay in my collection for many years. OK, on to the pics - I did the best I could, but I am not Del or Baldrick! It is hard to capture this monochromatic color scheme, and I am old, but here ya go:

ellistyle1 0 Posted October 30, 2014 The first thing that pops out at me are the chrono pushers. Beautiful details like that make wish for an open line of credit at at least one Tourneau. Even better if I were in Miami and there were 3. Very nice.
