Lookin for a good Mont Blanc

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Got out of the watch game for a lack of funds but now im back in a bit and looking for what i was seeking before... A white dial timewalker, I think it makes a really classy watch, really understated. Can anyone vouch for them? I would like to get one as close to the original as possible, i really like these but im trying to decide 7750 or 21j...

http://www.watcheden.com/montblanc-time-wa...-10466-p-1.html if it was in white.

The more I look at that first link the more I seem to not mind saving 200 bucks and going with a 21j...

Hmm. Ah so back on track, can anyone vouch for the quality of mont blancs?

There are quite a few good and inexpensive watches about, but the lower the price the more compromises you will have to live with. I think that the two you have identified seem good value for money.

Pix worte a positive review of the Quartz version mentioned above on RWI.

You can find it here:

mbjoer, i saw that review and it really sparked my interest but i realized every time i buy a cheaper version i am usuaally disappointed..... i am looking at this but im trying to figure out how recessed the date is... it looks really bad. I actually may go with a cheaper version because the date windows is alot less recessed.

A lot of dealers have cheaper movements in the 7750 quality case, so thoughts..... 21j or quartz?

If you buy a cheapie chrono go with the quartz

At least you will have the chronofunktions then

21J is fake chrono and not working

Belive-me, it´s not working chrono!

I love the Timewalker, wears beautiful!

I have this one with 21j but mine have black dial. The chrono dials are day of the week at 9, 24 hour at 6 and day of the month at 3.

You can ajust the 2 days of the month ( chrono dial at 3 and dateweel ) by the chrono push buttons and ajust the week day by a pusher at 50.

Cheers!

+1

As I said before...21J is not a chrono movement!

Quartz tick's but has the chrono funktion.

If you want the sweeping hands you have to pay for the 7750.

I agree with Akira, my timewalker 21j is dead and i want to buy the quartz version of it, it´s a

way more reliabe! As long as you can buy the quartz version with the 7750's case i would't think twice,

it's about 100$ cheaper and 100 times more reliable.

Cheers!!!

This one says working chrono. I Have no prob with quartz but id rather have a sweeping hand

No, it doesn't. It says the subdials do date/month/military time. I.e. they move with the pushers, but do not work like the gen.

You need quartz (no sweep) or an A7750 (much more expensive) for working chronos... Try a better dealer such as ReplicaMake, Timesshop or WatchInternational. You've got a better chance of finding something decent that way.
