gtwc 1 Posted October 30, 2010 Having just managed (thanks to Dingleberry, Greg_R and Brightlight) to upload pics at last you can see that my watches are not just products of an over-active imagination!) I thought I would try to add an avatar.... AAAAAgghh!!!! I followed the destructions here, and all I end up with is a little red X in my box. Are there some idiot-proof destructions? greg_r 81 Posted October 30, 2010 You need to link to an avatar that you've stored elsewhere, just like your regular photos. The avatar needs to be no bigger than 150x150 pix. Assuming you've got that right, then open the avatar control panel and past the URL to the online image into the (Enter a URL to an online avatar image) box i.e. http://www.photofuckit.com/goobers-pics/Ki...ng-position.jpg Note, the link must be direct to the image, NOT the page. Then you did it wrong (sorry! ) taking a quick look at your profile, there's TWO http:// plus an IMG tag in there. The rest is incomplete. You just need the url of the photo itself - follow my previous instructions EXACTLY and compare what you're pasting with the example I showed you. You need to make sure that the address you've pasted into the link box ends with a .jpg or .png or whatever, NOT an html (i.e. make sure you're viewing the image and ONLY the image in your browser - not the page that the image is on, then paste that address into the field. Don't paste any img tags. 9.9 times out of 10, that's the bit that people get wrong. If you want to just give up, paste the link to the image here (or PM me with it) and I'll fix it for you.
