tesmith2112 0 Posted November 5, 2014 Pretty cool and talented work no doubt, but not for me.
Bncrpt 1 Posted November 6, 2014 Credit where credits due...that's an amazing amount of detail! Different tastes and all that..but I can appreciate the skill that's gone into that. I like...
rogdog 0 Posted November 6, 2014 Very detailed...im guessing this isn't repped
Daywatch 4 Posted November 6, 2014 It´s artwork - You can like it or not. For a ladies watch it looks great, maybe better suited on other more rounded brands/models.
Soopah Spy 0 Posted November 6, 2014 That's the kind of bank note engraving I'd normally expect to see on a high-end shotgun or collector Colt or some such. It's quality work... but I'm not sure it's quite right on this watch.
tesmith2112 0 Posted November 6, 2014 How about these...?
Soopah Spy 0 Posted November 6, 2014 Okay, on the Radiomir? Much better. Better flow, more vintage feel to the basic case design, so it takes the engraving better.
psantos1091 0 Posted November 6, 2014 I actually like it.
Simms 1 Posted November 6, 2014 Ok on the PAM but the AP....not for me at all. Firstly seems feminin, secondly just too overpacked with detail which detracts from the work
mazerati7 0 Posted November 6, 2014 Who does this work?
PhillyRock 0 Posted November 6, 2014 This type of work is quite difficult. These people are beyond artists, they are like freaking Da vinci. People with skills like these work mostly with coins and pressing proofs. Absolutely fantastic and amazing skill.
tesmith2112 0 Posted November 6, 2014 These are the folks that do this fine work. All with old school tools none the less... http://www.kindlerthorpe.com

baxter 6 Posted November 6, 2014 That's the kind of bank note engraving I'd normally expect to see on a high-end shotgun or collector Colt or some such. It's quality work... but I'm not sure it's quite right on this watch. you're right ... says on their site that they do work for purdey and Holland & Holland. Must admit whereas i'm a sucker for real skills like this i want to like it more than i do, can't quite make my mind up whether it works for me or not. Margrette did something similar with the Mauri designs. I wonder if a more geometric design would work better on the Diver.
Hornet 1 Posted November 6, 2014 Just looks wrong on what is a modern watch, might be suited to antiques. I bet liberace would have bought one.... .....it would have been right up his alley.
Kleen™ 45 Posted November 6, 2014 Hmm...to me, perfection is not when you can't add anything more, but when you can't remove any more.
g.man 0 Posted November 6, 2014 I think the AP looks stunning. The rubber strap seriously needs swapping out for something more appropriate though.
