gmchris 68 Posted November 9, 2014 Well I am looking for a navitimer cosmonaute and seen a cheapie 21j on silix's site, but what I really want is to have the hour hand rotate once every 24 hours as per the gen. How easy (if at all) is it to replace the hour cog with one that will do this? I've done a keyless repair before so I'm not totally useless but I'm no expert either. Or am I hoping for the impossible?
JohnPilot 1 Posted November 9, 2014 There are no such parts for the 21j. For ETA or russian movements yes.
gmchris 68 Posted November 9, 2014 So I suppose the only other option is a movement swap?
Irishcain 0 Posted November 14, 2014 You'd basically have to remake/build the entire train. Much less intensive to swap out movements. But if you're set on doing it, PM me and I'll give you the formulas that will allow you to make new gears with the correct dimensions, pitch, etc.
cwazy1 0 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) dude why not just buy a cosmo rep? http://intime.co/pro...?id_product=921 I had this one last year and it works like gen. modded HW to run on 24h time and also seconds @ 3. which is quite stable. Here is my old one that is on its 3rd owner which is for sale. I did the DW mod on it http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=197134 Edited November 14, 2014 by cwazy1
