antithese 0 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) Hi all, I´m new to this "business" and got an "IWC Portuguese" as a present to my birthday. But I have a question regarding a small push-button on the left side near the 8 - is this normal? Does every IWC come with this? See the pic please How can I see if it is a "good" replica? Thx for any hint! Edited December 1, 2014 by antithese
Tichymeloun 0 Posted December 8, 2014 nope, this button definitely is not on the gens. Could you post some more pics, to see the dial?
Kernow 33 Posted December 9, 2014 What movement is inside? Some 7753 movements use this as a date advance.
JohnPilot 1 Posted December 9, 2014 Not on gen Portuguese but often on reps. Here IWC uses on own movement not based on 7753.

First of all, there is only one version of this model so that's as good as it gets. However, it's very easy to tell it from the gen for obvious reasons. In conclusion, decent quality watch (I have a Parnis "Portuguese" which is basicly the same watch and I'm quite pleased with it),but poor level of similarity. Tichymeloun 0 Posted February 8, 2015 What do you guys think is the reason that this watch is repped so badly? Is it impossible to find a movement that would at least resemble the gen? Not hoping for the power reserve off-course, this would remain faux, but the at least to have the seconds in the reasonable distance from the centre of the dial...
