Breitling Avenger yellow Seawolf - brushed or polished?

Recommended Posts

wqleow

Dear Breitling experts, I have recently come into posession of a Breitling yellow Seawolf via M2M. I figured I needed a little colour in my collection.

While I love the dial, I have noticed that the bezel and case are both very polished. Comparing photos on the forum, I see that most have a brushed bezel and polished case.

Please enlighten me! Here are some photos for your advice.

As far as i can remember the sides of the case, case back and bezel are polished and the rest should be brushed.

Thanks mostling and HWG for your help!

It seems like mine is polished all round, including the lugs and crown.

Maybe it's time to read up on how to brush metal?

I concur.

Yeah yeah, however - you don't even like this model, it does nothing for you - right?

For the record I'm with Opti on this, and OP you definitely have to save that über polished specimen of yours.

Its not as stylish as the newest version.

The cartel must be asleep, if they repped this they would get rich.

Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to polish the bezel and case as it does look like it was brushed originally.

It's a very much overkill bling look but sadly an easy spot for a Breitling officianado

Gen owners polish or brush to their liking...you can and should as well. Put together the combo that pleases your eye.

I bought this from OP and love it's completely polished case and bezel. The Swiss movt has awesome reserve, keeps magnificent time. I don't give a fuck if it's not true to gen or correct etc.. I like it and that's all that counts.

Cheers

That bezel looks shite polished up. The thing will be a nightmare for micro scratches as well.
