aspirany 0 Posted December 23, 2014 Hi Evrybody, I order Tag Heuer calibre 1887 watch from Andrew.I want to try the stopper function, but sometimes not working properly. I star the stopper after 3 secounds stopping a push the stop button the cronograph is also stopping, i star the stopper again the cronograph is start but the secound needle not moving. I push the reset button, the needle is going to start position properly. What is the problem? Thank you your help and Marry Christmas.

JSJ 0 Posted December 23, 2014 Can't really work out if there is a problem or not from your description. Can you write again but differently please? What is your native language?
flyr 4 Posted December 23, 2014 OP A short video of what the watch is doing would help members understand your problem.(and hopefully get you a solution)
aspirany 0 Posted December 23, 2014 Thank you for your fast replies. I start the timer goes for 3 seconds and then stop. I stop the timer and start again but nothing happens. I can reset the timer.
JSJ 0 Posted December 23, 2014 This sounds like a problem with the movement. Sorry to hear it. If you can take it to a watchmaker, that will be the best thing. You can send it back if it's new but you will pay the shipping and it will be gone maybe a few months. Or you can just ignore the chronograph like most of us do. flyr 4 Posted December 23, 2014 The chrono seconds hand may be hitting the crystal.
JSJ 0 Posted December 23, 2014 The chrono seconds hand may be hitting the crystal. Yeah that would also stop the watch. Is the watch stopping when the chronograph stops?
aspirany 0 Posted December 23, 2014 Thank you. I very sad cause today received the watch from Andrew. Two times work. When I received the watch I have a same problem and after suddenly working. Sometimes it's works sometimes doesn't
Duzza 182 Posted December 23, 2014 Do you really need to us the chrono? Whether it works or not you shouldn't really use it anyway.
aspirany 0 Posted December 23, 2014 Actually not really, but if I paid 400 dollar........

JSJ 0 Posted December 23, 2014 aspirany you are going to be OK if you continue like this. Which country are you from?
headhunt3r 0 Posted December 23, 2014 If you reset, then start the timer and let it run, does it make it all the way around? Or does the chrono second hand get stuck somewhere.
JSJ 0 Posted December 23, 2014 You have some choices. 1. Accept it and enjoy wearing it how it is. 2. Try and have it fixed. 3. Sell it cheap (to me ) I would choose 1.

headhunt3r 0 Posted December 23, 2014 Are you trying the chrono on a full wind? I know if I start playing w/ the chrono after I just got the watch going, it'll die like you described too.

JSJ 0 Posted December 23, 2014 How can I now the watch is fully wind? Carefully and gently wind 40 turns on the crown. When I received the watch completely stopped. This is normal.
Kernow 33 Posted December 23, 2014 Sounds like the Chrono second hand is hitting the crystal. It could be a simple fix for a watchsmith.
