panto 0 Posted November 14, 2010 I want to buy my first Panerai rep and narrowed my choices down to 3 different dealers. Which ones looks the best out of box? Is it just me or does the Pams from Replicamake and Timeshop look identical to Trevors ULTIMATE VERSION PAM 111H? I need your expert options. From replicamake $158 http://www.replicamake.com/product_i...oducts_id=2151 From timeshop $168 http://www.timesshop.net/product.php?id_product=6983 From Trevor $188 http://www.trevortime.info/product_i...oducts_id=2037
prestigewatchco 2 Posted November 14, 2010 No they are not all the same the only thing they have in common is none are ultimate anything Trevor wouldn't know what he had he has done as he usually does and copied someone else's description The other 2 are basic 111H movements Ultimate will have 6497-2 with engraved bridges and better case the end cut outs on the ultimate case are very similar to gen the standard case are typically rep too big and deep

Can't really say about Timesshop.net cos his pictures are plastered with his LOGO and Replicamake is cheapest out of the lot Edited November 14, 2010 by GSi2K

greg_r 81 Posted November 15, 2010 Firstly, I wouldn't buy from Trevor - can be a very frustrating experience and too many of his item descriptions are horse doodoo. These are far from 'ultimate' models. They're basically the kinda watch you can buy from Robert for $99 with a tweak or two. I wouldn't worry about the cannon pinion at this price level - frankly, there are too many other tells that are far more noticeable. Nevertheless, they're a decent watch at $99 - not so exciting at $150. To get something significantly better you're looking at paying $200 and up - the extra fifty or sixty bucks for the stuff you linked doesn't get you much... Take a look here - if you want a budget PAM, you'll get real value for money from these. http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum...?showtopic=6194

After reading a lot of posts on this board he stood out as the "go to guy" for a good quality rep and excellent customer service. Robert quickly answered all of my email questions, gave me my options, and in the end he recommended that I go with his $99.00 111h (and add $30.00 to upgrade to the steel bracelet). Member X 91 Posted November 15, 2010 If you really want a watch you will feel completely happy with, I would recommend saving up a bit longer and then spending $250+ on one of the true 'ultimate' models out there. Most of us start with some cheap watches to see what they are like and not risk losing too much money if they aren't very good, but we all find that once we start buying the reps above $200 or so, the cheap ones we bought at the start just don't feel up to the standard we now expect! So, if you buy the more expensive version at the start, you will save time and save money by not spending it on lots of other watches before you finally decide to spend $250+ on a watch Or that is one way of looking at it! ^_^
