RichardMiami 4 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Ahhhhhhhhhh........... the dangers of shopping......... The wife and I were in Macy's the other week. Nice store, but they have a VERY light selection of automatics. Mostly fashion watches these days. BUT.... there is a nice tray of Hamiltons. So whilst she is looking at shiny sparkly things, I am looking at the Hammys....and I find the Jazzmaster Chronometer... in both silver dial and black. The small seconds at 9 with the chrono sub-dials at 12 and 6 are very elegant. It fits my wrist nicely with the deployant and a 41mm case. The chrono large second hand sweeps nicely.. no ticking at all. It resets smoothly with a nice solid click. It has another plus - a display back showing off the Valjoux 7750 - I like display backs! BUT..... it is $1,445.00 - too much for an impulse buy. OK, so when I get home, I look it up on the Interwebs, and there it is in JomaShop for a mere $925.96, Hmmm.. this one goes on the list for sure. Then, a few days later, it pops up on eBay..... in fact TWO of them pop up. The first is listed "Buy it Now" for $525.. but no box or papers. The second is bid with a minimum of $550.. but with box and papers! Both watches looks super clean and are from reputable sellers. I grabbed the one with box and papers for the $550 - there were no other bidders! It arrived today, and in perfect condition. (note.. the marks at the 9 o'clock side of the bezel are dirt.. one of these days I will learn to wipe my watches clean before taking pics... sigh) Edited January 17, 2015 by RichardMiami pics updated

BentleySharp 0 Posted January 2, 2015 One of those great Ebay auctions where you place a bid, sure that you will be outbid many times over by 15 other people, but the time runs down on the auction, and low and behold, no one else bids! And you win the auction with your initial minimum bid! Hallelujah! Wear it well buddy

rusty peters 0 Posted January 2, 2015 You were right about the "small" seconds! I really like that. It takes any potential clutter out of the dial.

deef 0 Posted January 3, 2015 Great watch. Macys charges so much for watches. A friend bought a citizen there for 3 times what he could have gotten it for online.

NFleischer 4,355 Posted January 3, 2015 Nice deal there- can't beat Hammys for value. The blue chrono above is very nice as well. I picked up the Khaki (IWC Spitfire wannabe version) a while back, I got a pretty good deal but not like you did Richard. It's actually on sale now @ Ashford.com for $680, not bad! ShovelnTC 31 Posted January 17, 2015 Lovely watch. I tried selling my Hamilton a couple of times but didn't get much interest here on the forum but I'm glad as I really like mine and am wearing it more often. Great pick up and enjoy!
