Indeed. And you can see it's a fake bridge over the movement.

Terrible and seller had 100% good feedback, probably doesn't even realize he's selling a fake watch; poor bastard and poorer potential buyer.

he claims its gen)

i've wrote him its fake and here is his answer :

I can assure you this watch is not a fake. It was purchased from an Authorized Dealer in 2013 and I have a certified appraisal for insurance purposes from Betteridge Jewelers. This is the real deal. Sorry to disappoint you. I don't own or sell fakes.

You think it is real??

I did noticed the different engravings on the base plate. You can clearly see "swiss made" and the "cal. P.9000" are on a different place.

It's quite sad as you can get insurance appraisal (in the uk) by just sending a picture to the insurer.

Not to mention the terrible date alignment. Look at the 1. Its positioned too much to the left.

Doesn't Ebay have a reporting system,.. so some us can flag this to Ebay. It's just a shame that somebody will be scammed.

Did he say he bought it from the AD? Maybe he bought it from a scammer who had a receipt for a real one from an AD, with a good enough rep its not totally surprising that an independent jeweller that isn't a pam expert could appraise it as real. I own reps now that I would have been convinced were real before I was a member here, I'm not trying to stick up for him if he is a scammer but its easy to forget that other than us rep fora members most people aren't picky enough on details to spot a fake, or even know reps this good exist

Either way, sellers good/bad intentions aside it does need taking off ebay!

Looks to be a ZFac 7750. Direct him to the false escapement wheel.

Have you seen whatelse he is selling...................I am not kidding you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,His user name is: "watchmework" yet he has listed a "used" pair of mens boxer shorts for $20 but he states they have only been worn once.... So :vomit: I think he knows what he is up to without a shadow of a doubt

Bought from an AD but "no papers" stated in the description? Nobody buys a gen Panerai and throws away the paperwork. This guy knows full well it's a rep.

That's good news.

Always hate when you see something potentially go wrong and can't do anything about it.

Not sure if he knew or not. We had a couple correspondence back and forth but mostly he was sticking with his "official authentication service" position. He finally agreed to take it down and get it re-examined. We'll see... It might pop up again.
