Jonnybaws 5,280 Posted January 13, 2015 Love that ROO, it was between that and the Don, the Don edged it because I liked the dial colour... Still, your ROO is stunning, I think I like it on leather more than on the bracelet!
Jonnybaws 5,280 Posted January 13, 2015 Hmmm... on closer inspection, the second hand on the Doha is quite jumpy :( Still keeps good time though... looks like this may qualify for the Jewel Mod Others are fine.. thankfully
Poolsfinest 1 Posted January 13, 2015 Ryan has become my go to as well. Very good service. How long before you start on the 44's??? I wish the dial on that gold themes was more peanut buttery. Such a beautiful watch.

profsteve 3 Posted January 17, 2015 great collection - I'd do AR on all of the crystals but then again I have a bit of a bias- Don Ramon for sure- AR makes most difference on dark dials.
Jonnybaws 5,280 Posted January 17, 2015 Ryan has become my go to as well. Very good service. How long before you start on the 44's??? I wish the dial on that gold themes was more peanut buttery. Such a beautiful watch. Picture shows 6 free slots but really, there's only 4 left.. 57th St on the way from Toro (Ryan couldn't get hold of one) And managed to sweet talk the Prof into selling me his Montauk That's my lot for now... but when the madness starts up again, I'll move onto the 44mm ROOs And no AP collection is complete without a SS Diver.. Also, the new Ceramic Diver with the decorated movement and better dial is also calling me... Blimey, no mucking about there mate. Welcome back to having a collection again. Looks like a fantastic box there dude. Cheers bud So which one you like the most? Still liking the Doha, alot.. but had the Don on the wrist for the first time today, quite taken by it to be honest.. great collection - I'd do AR on all of the crystals but then again I have a bit of a bias- Don Ramon for sure- AR makes most difference on dark dials. Cheers Steve, will get even better after a certain delivery from the US Now.. if I only knew where I can get some AR'd crystals from
sunbites 0 Posted January 17, 2015 Amazing collection; I'd pick up a don ramon if my hate of Chronos lol Been looking for a few days for something with white/cream dial; as I don't really have anything like that in my collection.
Jonnybaws 5,280 Posted January 19, 2015 Part 3... Couldn't resist the offer I got from Toro on this (who was available via Email and as always was a smooth transaction)... AP 57th Street.. Had this before and sold it, don't know why, loved it, like Rubber Clad bezel, the dial is stunning. This will def. be an AP, should it remain that will get the AR'd crystal treatment. The rep strap that comes with this, is without, hands down, the biggest pile of shite I've ever worn! Quick wristie.. All tucked up with its fellow APs.. Jonnybaws 5,280 Posted January 24, 2015 Jonny, any problems at customs? Mine is showing - Awaiting clearance - information needed from addressee Wondering if I should contact them/say something or just wait. addres Nope, she's on my wrist now, came this morning, had to pay a bit of duty but considering the cargo inside, I wasn't going to kick up a stink.. Never seen that status pop up for any of my parcels, best bet is to google what it really means!
sunbites 0 Posted January 24, 2015 Yeah, means they want to know more about it, and pay duty. How much did you end up paying? And did they just ask for it?
Jonnybaws 5,280 Posted January 24, 2015 Tracked the package, said Duty was owning once it hit the local depot, rang up and paid for it, didn't chase the package before that.. In your situation I don't know how to play it, be too pushy they may have a closer look at whats inside, let them take their time asking for the money, if thats what they want is the safer bet. How much you pay depends on how much the packages value is declared, mine had a declared value of $50, including the lovely Parcelforce fee, I paid a shade of £20, could have been worse.. sunbites 0 Posted January 24, 2015 Ah cool, had similar issue with FEDEX before when we had some stem cells transporting and they didnt know what it was. I may just say it's a strap for a watch with a dummy on it. They are usually satisfied with anything; but ill give them a few more days first.
