Slarre 0 Posted January 19, 2015 Yey. Tracking says my PerfectClones-Speedmaster will arrive to day! 12 days from China to Norway. Average EMS-time I guess? Review in this post as soon as I have it on the wrist :-) But lets start the discussion right now: I have a Invicta Pro Diver (the brand everyone loves to hate). It has got a NH35A (seiko) automatic movement. Anyone know how this movement compares to the Seagull ST19 movement in the speedmaster clones?
greg_r 83 Posted January 19, 2015 The Sea-Gull ST19 is probably the best chrono movement found in reps (it's also found in gens). You'll have no worries there.
Slarre 0 Posted January 19, 2015 I assume the Speedy has a ST19. The TD says it has a "lemania movement"....but as I understand, that is another way of saying "st19" in china :-D I guess the Chinese symbols for "lemania" and "ST19" is VERY similar ... Slarre 0 Posted January 19, 2015 Its here! No pictures yet, bear with me. One question: when fully wound, how do I screw down the crown? It feels like it stops, and that I have to wait for the spring to unwind A little before screwing it down... Everything else seems to be fine. Nice looking, Nice feeling bracelet and smooth chrono pushers. Strap clasp says "seamaster" though .... Just set it to the correct time according to the atomic clock. Slarre 0 Posted January 20, 2015 Yep, will answer my self here. The screwing down of the crown is part of winding the clock. If fully wound, it has no travel left to screw down... Pictures to come. Will it be easyer do uploade pictures with tapatalk for mobile?

Watch is still ticking. Have allready started searching for a domed crystal and someone to mod the 6 o clock dial. Bracelet buckle is SHARP! But I plan on finding a nice (but cheap) leather strap with deployant buckle.

Speedmasters do not have screw down crowns (the gen doesn't anyway). The Seamaster clasp is a common error with this watch - I don't think many people actually received a "Speedmaster" clasp. Regarding the ST19 movement, they are pretty robust. I had a couple of Alpha Daytona "gens" which used that movement. No major problems, except for the click spring which keeps the movement from unwinding itself. You'll know if you encounter that issue if the movement completely unwinds as you let go of the crown while winding.

They are designed NOT to be overwound thus if you were to vigorously shake your arm all day you won't screw it up by overwinding it. By the same token you can't get to a point hand winding it where it "stops" like a non automatic will. Where it is fully wound, yes, but stops, no, this is a built in safety measure. Thus you will have no problem screwing down the crown no matter how "wound" the watch is. Edited January 24, 2016 by 70gtvert
