That is very nice...

I've liked these for a while so this might have to go on the list!

Could be good to get it now though - never know if the price might rise once demand gets high...

According to Josh the strap in the pix are the rep strap which looks very good. He confirmed that it is very good for a rep. The South American croc strap does have all the Panerai markings and is equivalent to gen, he says. 12 straps per hide.

It is tempting just for the Panerai markings but I'll check out the rep strap first.

It's officially ordered. What have I done? I've gone back to the dark side!

That is a beautiful looking watch. Its the 1st Chrono from Panerai that is really classy looking. The 113 in look very sporty and something you could casually, but this looks way better.

See you on the dark side.

I would tell you to look out for another guy with the same PAM but unfortunately while on that site I also ordered the Blue SOH with mesh strap.....a bit like the alcoholic that just takes one drink, then all of a sudden....

Congratulations KBH...this is the dark side? Well then...welcome back!

I particularly like your thread KBH, not only because I love the photographs, but I really appreciate the photographic comparison to the gen. This is great. I wouldn't have gotten to see this comparison, so this is a rare opportunity to see how close this watch actually is to the gen. Well these photos are even educational for the boyz. I always feel at a loss when watches are described because I lack the experience to know and be able to visualize what is being described. Yep, I need the pictures. Well, the men are the more visual ones anyway. This looks like a great watch and I can tell you wanted to beat the rush. Congratulations on the purchase of this lovely and now I can't wait for the wrist pictures.

I agree with ska's assessment, he just phrased it more eloquently than I did. :)

Do you feel strongly about replacing the stap? With age, the existing strap will become darker and look nicer. The rep strap looks pretty good to me. I did notice that the rep strap only has a dart stitch in the strap loop rather than a full loop stitch, and it was off center, but who will see that? Well, judging by your boat...you want it Perfect...or as close as you can get.

This PAM is a real beauty and you are going to create PAM interest in the unsuspecting and propel the interest of existing admirers. B)

I hope you will post the wristies here in addition to the weekly check thread and any feedback thread you might post. That way, we can all see the actual watch you receive.

There is more and more chatter and threads about PAMs here everyday.

I think in these economic times PAMs will be great watches to wear.

At least IMHO, they are elegant looking in an understated way and don't scream...

"conspicuous consumption."

No offense Rollie lovers. ^_^ I know you have your admirers too.

I couldn't figure out why one of them had tape on it. :)

This looks awesome. My only question/concern is the detail on the crown. The lighting and image quality makes it hard for me to play with the image to get a better idea. Any chance of getting a shot of just the rep crown? Thanks for sharing...

Here's a picture from Toro. He's now got them available for a little cheaper.

EDIT: Toro is currently sold out!

Looks pretty good to me.

This thing is the best out of the box PAM I've ever seen and possibly one of the best (if not the best) out of the box rep I've ever seen. It truely is scary stuff guys!

Well done Josh, getting this made, dude this is AMAZING.

Honestly guys there's only one thing missing here, the box and the papers, because this screems genuine all the way.

KBH...your post is getting alot of attention.

I can see that the PAMs are going to be big this year, and this is quite an exceptional one. Please post the wristies when you receive it. I see lots of members oogling this thread. Looks like we are all waiting. A nice purchase B) and can't wait for the actual photographs.

No, I don't think Rolex is "Same Old Shit", but if you think the PAM's are old men's watches...then...they are hot regardless!

Most of my friends are in the 25 yr age bracket and look at my PAM and say, "What a nice looking watch. What is it? I have never seen one like it before."

I think PAMs are fresh and youthful looking. I would have suggested one to Silverspeed in his prize drawing, but I didn't think he would like it. They are not pretentious and have clean lines and beautiful faces. Rollies have a fine place and nice history, but the PAMs are mysterious. People don't know what they are and look at them because they are attractive, different and unique. JMO, but PAM's are on the move and they are attracting alot of attention. I can see it here at RWG, it is going to be a trend. There are more of them in the wrist check each week.

KBH obviously knows this and is riding this wave... B) These PAMs are gorgeous and understated watches with lots of eye appeal. They are different and that makes them unique in the watch world. It makes them especially attractive. People aren't afraid to take too close a look, ask about it, and even take a second look. Where a Rolex might be intimidating, a PAM is inviting. I think Greg and others know this and that is why some of you have such great PAM collections. Others of us are just discovering PAMs. If you bought them, you knew you liked them when you bought them...well, now is the time to get them out and be wearing them while others of us are just starting to see their appeal and are buying them.

I like some of the Rollies, especially the Milgauss, but the days of flashy, conspicuous consumption are not on in this economy. I am not saying they are crass, but they don't seem to be en vogue. Commercialism isn't fashionable in difficult economic times. I live in the woods, what do I know? Who am I to know anything. I just know what I like and what looks good to me. Yet, I think I can see what is happening with highly visible status symbols and they seem to be faltering. The status symbols represented by brand names like Rolex appear to be becoming the rive gauche of the watch world. I am sure Robert is seeing a rise in PAM purchases.

It doesn't really matter does it? ...we should all buy and wear whatever we like. That is the point isn't it? Not to be led around by trends.

I just see a trend here and I see more and more PAMs every week in the wrist check. This post started almost a week ago, and yet it is still in the top of the list. When I look at it there are always 6 or 7 names at the bottom reading it. I am just delighted to have a Blackseal and a Fiddy for myself.

All the Best

Pray for a 312 that looks 1:1

Me too HD! Doesn't look like its gonna happen right away. I asked Josh if there was another version coming out

and he said no- mov't too hard to rep. I think the 312 rep sucks. Looks nothing like the pix Silverspeed posts of the gen.

BTW- HD I posted some wicked after Thanksgiving gen sales yesterday

That 288 is really nice!

How about the PAM 111 and/or PAM 183? Are there such high quality reps available of these models as well already? Or should I just wait a bit longer?

And longer... and longer...
