toomanywatches 0 Posted November 21, 2010 More progress on build inspired by Tanukjaju, the 47mm Vintage Submersible with Manual Conversion from Automatic. Wanted to create a Submersible that is less bulking and more "lean" in appearance... kind of a "6154 of Submersibles". Waiting for DSN Brevet Crown and tube set. Going to use a Molnija 3602. Will have to shift crown position forward 3mm. Undecided on the dial...Southy vs NW?? Watch started life as: Initial reshaping: More reshaping and polishing: Things accomplished so far this week: -Reshaped and polished case -New GS PHD (size 33 1/2) Plexi -Drilled and reshaped lugs for lug bars -Vintage Pearl Meantime, discovered liquid masking film that can be used to cover sausage indices to allow for repainting of the dial... decided to experiment with original dial. Here is the product, purchased at hobby store, and the repaint of dial...Final watch will have different dial!!!: Final watch will have entirely different dial without date window or seconds ...Southy vs NW, any ideas on a specific one? Mellons suggested a 2533 dial. So what do you think??? Any suggestions???
