vonGluberschmidt 0 Posted November 23, 2010 so I searched and searched. on here and RG. I really like the black finish of this watch: 1- I can't seem to find this DSN guy on RG. 2- is it a private individual or a business? 3- is there a specific way to find these black model PAM's? any help is great. thank you. d. Andei3000 0 Posted November 23, 2010 Hi d. 1. try this: Davidsen at the Geek 2. he's a business and he's the only one who offers an acceptable pvd finish on his watches 3. search for pvd, dlc or contact avitt on repgeek. andei
Mystery Shopper 5,887 Posted November 23, 2010 Is this the PAM 292? If so, PWC had them recently.
Andei3000 0 Posted November 23, 2010 I think it's a 203A???
Silverspeed 10 Posted November 23, 2010 Yes the PAM in the pic is a pre-v 203a from DSN on a yellow calf StrapWorks strap. ....actually that was my 203a it has an Asian 6497 movement and costed about $250 if I remember correctly. In my eyes the PVD coating was just fine. Offcourse you can always send to Avitt for a DLC coating, but that will cost around $250 extra....and it will still be miles away from a gen 203a. I believe the gen PVD has a more gun metal sheen on it, if you use a cape cod cloth on the DSN PVD you'll get a very nice and similar sheen on the case and save enough $ to buy another rep
Andei3000 0 Posted November 23, 2010 For the best aftermarket PVD results you should contact Roli over on RWGjr. - he is doing the pvd treatment on the same machines Panerai originally used (Sauter if I remember correctly)
