Son's new Gen - building blocks of life!

B)

Well I bit the bullet and decided introduce my 9 yo son to the world of watches.

Opted to bid for a Gen watch, rather than get him a Rep (Xmas present) on Ebay.

Found a ripper, see what you think.

Dial looks sensational, AR is pretty good, water tested to 5 atm (as good as my Rep Sub - at a tenth of the price),

Shock proof and movement is Japanese Quartz!!!

Will keep an eye out for the Rep and give you all a review on how close it is to this Gen.

Sorry you'll have to wait until Xmas day for the wrist shots :-)

For your "son", yea right! :)

Just resize that baby, get it on your wrist and take some eye candy wrist-shots for us all too drool over.

And then you can spend the rest of the week walking in and out every AD in the land, with a roosters strut, safe in the knowledge that none of the counter monkeys will attempt to call you out.

May the force be with you. :)

I notice the spacing between the lugs is wrong

:D

The rotating bezel more than compensates for the lug spacing issue.

Might have to relume the hands to give it that 'out of this world' look...

Yeah, looks like the "incorrect 30" bezel to me and the dial font is off.

You got ripped man! That ain't a Lego, it's a fake! :D

:picard:

SHIT!!!!!

I checked it with the Loupe, I could have swarn it had the correct 30.

Trailboss99 you're ruined my night, mate you know how to pick a fake.

Jes' I hope my son doesn't realise Christmas day it's only a REP!

I might even put it on the 'Lego' watch forum and see if anyone on there picks the faults!

I really doubt anyone is going to notice. If he wears it with confidence I am sure he can pass it off. Less than 50% of Lego wearers would really notice and there are many different versions. If he asks, tell him it is a limited edition. Just do not get him started at such an early age worrying about flaws (it definitely needs a relume tho mate - I would try to get that done before Christmas).

No no no! Hell no, don't do that. Those Lego guys are worse than Paneristi. They will crucify you for posting a rep on Lego Forum. I heard about a bloke from Mumbai who posted a rep race car drivers head, they tracked him down in a city of 18 million people, burned his house to the ground, tied him to a giant Lego anchor and chucked him in the Ganges.
