HeavyKrush 16 Posted February 21, 2015 Firstly, a big thanks to 20Footer for loaning his rep to make this possible. Pretty much going to be a straight forward compare, a rep vs gen Omega Ceramic Planet Ocean, 45.5 mm version with orange numerals. Ref: 232.30.46.21.01.003. Summary 1. With your eyes closed, it is very difficult to tell these two watches apart. The rep in just about every way feels every bit as solid as the gen. There are only a couple exceptions... - The bezel click is slightly, and I mean slightly less robust on the rep. - The bracelet feels slightly, yep again, only slightly more loose on the rep. 2. The bezel insert text and markings is darker on the rep. 3. The dial numerals are a touch more red on the rep. 4. The AR on the rep is very blue compared to the gen as most photos depict. 5. With the exception of the bezel insert, from arms (or wrist) length and with the gen out of sight, it would likely be very difficult for anyone, even an AD to spot this watch as a rep. Only if the light struck the crystal just right would it be noticeable. Ok, let's get to the pics.... The rep is easily spotted in most pics as the blue AR is prominent in most shots. For individual shots, the gen will always be first. Also, the rep was a real nightmare to shoot because of the blue AR and trying to line up the shots for a side by side. Clasp engraving slightly more crisp and darker on the gen. The matte finish of the dial is spot on. You can see the slight color difference between the numerals. Gen bezel insert numerals very crisp and bold. HE is very close in finish and position. Date wheel is almost perfect. Crown is almost perfect. This rep has a bit of an issue with the pearl. Lume shot! Cheers!
xnview 0 Posted February 21, 2015 Very nice comparison! Do you know which factory the rep is from?
HeavyKrush 16 Posted February 21, 2015 Very nice comparison! Do you know which factory the rep is from? I don't. Hopefully 20Footer will jump in and comment. The movement is clone ETA rather than the closer looking Miyota.

scorpion 0 Posted February 21, 2015 Great review + pics. I actually like the blue tint on the Reps crystal, it to me looks great. Maybe Omega need to add it to the gen

avrahamk1 0 Posted February 21, 2015 It's a BP, you could see it by the fading bezel and the movement. Great review and comparison! Would love to see sometime a side by side with the V6F model.
HeavyKrush 16 Posted February 21, 2015 Thanks gents. Really not plugged into the versions of the current PO.

Duzza 182 Posted February 21, 2015 Great stuff. Be interesting to see the same thing but with the Miyota version. Which I feel is the better of the crpo reps.

plankton 1 Posted February 21, 2015 You know, do some clear AR from Vac on that crystal and the entire thing might be so close. The blue tint could have affected the numeral tint as well. Curious about the clear AR, always loved that watch. Thanks for the review.
HeavyKrush 16 Posted February 21, 2015 Just read Sunnys post on RWI on a compare with a noob version and holy crap, that version is freaking awesome: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=177504

Miyota is better and yes Noob is much better than BP. As a owner of the Miyota version, I think Noob is the best one out of those CrPO reps. The only big tell of the Noob is the movement of course, but other than that, it's almost 100% identical next to the gen. (I didn't have/hold the Noob version yet, judging only by pictures) Edited February 21, 2015 by avrahamk1

Noob has a better bracelet, but the Miyota has the huge benefit of a gen like movement in appearance. Plus the reliability of the Japanese movement. I sold the noob. Says it all. Woah, good to know then! How's the AR of them side by side next to the gen? The Miyota seems a bit too blueish IMO, on the other hand sunny's review shows pretty gen-like AR coating on the Noob's. Duzza 182 Posted February 21, 2015 They are both too blue but the Miyota is less blue and far clearer.

Dont think a V6F exists, NOOB,miyota,BP, miyota is the best for this model, but......... BP make the best 42mm pumpkin IMO. They are all good but the miyota is now a serious player in the world of PO
