cogwatch 1 Posted February 24, 2015 This just in last Friday from Bliew on M2M. Thanks Bliew!! As he said in the sales post, it came with a "strap that has been to hell and back with several cracks and no buckle". So I threw on a new (old) strap I had that was perfect for it. And voila, a beauty of a watch!!

cogwatch 1 Posted February 25, 2015 Very Nice Paul! Love the 373! Thanks Rob!! A little bit of background as this is actually more of a 2533-ish build (the vintage Panerai that the 373 was based on) rather than a straight 373. Below is the blurb from the M2M sales thread. Followed by a blurb from ALE's Pam Review on the 373. You may know all this, but I didn't until the last few days!!! From RWG M2M Sales Thread: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Originally bought over at RWI from the modder "bobandshawn". Here's the spec's he gave in his sales thread: Started out as a 45mm PAM Radiomir but with these mods: Replaced dial with new, hand-made mini 2533 dial New hands Adjusted and tuned to one of the best 6497's I've seen so far ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From ALE's Pam Review on the 373: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As we have above said the PAM 373 watch is inspired on the vintage 2533, a prototype of which very few were made in the late 1930's (probably between 1935 and 1937). There's a picture of one of these prototypes in the reference section on paneristi.com. The reference section however states that only one unit exists but other sources say that several - at least two - have been made. The Panerai press release also has this paragraph "In Officine Panerai's earlier days there was a rare, mysterious version of the Radiomir of which only two examples are known...". You can find some very interesting further information about the history of the vintage models - including the 2533 - in the post the Rolex-Panerai connection on Rolexblog.blogspot.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Don't you just fucking love watches!!!
