Bliew 0 Posted March 6, 2015 AH a gen Pelagos , well if you comfortable with the weight and size this one hands down. Yup, a gen, sorry I didn't specify :P I love the more rugged look of this one due to it's metal bezel (very SOSF like which I love to bits). Might have to go back to my TD and tell him I'm reconsidering...given value for the money, a custom built watch with the manufacturing quality I'm seeing here for about 2.5k less; seems like a no-brainer Plankton, I was wondering if you could do a pic of a side by side with your 243? The 243 is probably the biggest watch dimension wise (thickness and width) I can get away with :(

horrologist 0 Posted April 6, 2015 So glad it's 44mm. It looks like 38mm on you but will look like 50mm on me! LMAO............................ Yes 20 years on competitive weight lifting can make the wrist grow a bit. Ahh... I thought it looked a bit small for 44mm in that wristshot. That is one beautiful watch. There aren't many watches where everything just looks right but on this it does. Love how they've doubled up on the lume dots at 3,6,9,12. Have you noticed that the brushing is slightly different on yours than it is on the website? Yours looks like the brushing on the bezel and lugs is starburst but on the website the bezel looks radial and the case straight. It looks far better on yours. I wonder if they have just changed the way they do it and not updated the pics. Enjoy.

They made a couple of changes from the web page, the bezel is laser cut on the 1-15 markers, then lumed which I really like instead of being raised and no lume on them. I have to say again I'm totally impressed with the construction and build. It is far more solid than my gen DSSD (as far as everything being fit perfectly). Anyhow thanks for the compliment on the watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
plankton 1 Posted April 13, 2015 I have worn this one a dozen or so times at this point, still very happy. By this point I have usually moved on to another watch but I'm having a difficult time doing such. Now it doesn't garner compliments like my Breitling but I like it so what the hell. I would have to strongly recommend a Helberg watch to you guys. It is a quality built piece for sure.

plankton 1 Posted April 25, 2015 Thanks for the post plankton. Decided to get this one instead of getting reps. Wow, you will enjoy this watch. You will certainly not fin a rep made this well anywhere and the German watches have a pretty cool story to be told on the build, testing, depth testing. Clemons Helberg takes pride in his work. plankton 1 Posted April 29, 2015 You might want to ask clemons, email him at the address they list on the website. did you pay already? I ordered mine in a pre order so it took some time. I think his watches are built for each customer, I think but not sure.
