UmpaHimself 222 Posted March 3, 2015 Unfortunately this came with a loose caseback so I finally had the gaskets greased, sealed and pressure tested by a watchmaker today. He was impressed at my (not bragging) knowledge of watches and movements (all thanks to the rep hobby) so he decided to show me a few watches he had in for repair including what I think was a Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor Chrono Ref 1752140. It was pretty sweet to say the least but he stated the owner kept it in bad shape. Hexa K500 Wristie by tylerswatches, on Flickr
GenTLe 1,509 Posted March 3, 2015 Dress watch? Lovely that! You get this from Toro's special? Yes! Very good value for money! Only problems: lume is quite poor and the strap is crap (and the replacements must be tweacked as I did because the bucle "pin" is 4mm large...)

It's running about 2.5 to 3 seconds fast per MINUTE! For a watch that was meant to have had a service, that's a bit poor... Or, due to the fact that it was only sent in some bubble wrap in a jiffy bag, not sure the movement's had a bash....

Ahhhh that's bollocks mate! I've sent watches in the past just in bubble wrap and a jiffy bag, but the watch is that well wrapped in the bubble wrap you can't even see it and could throw it off the wall and it would be OK. It come a long way insufficiently wrapped? Hopefully its an easy fix.

But the package was delivered through the letter box, so you can tell from that, that it wasn't a major amount of Bubble Wrap.. Came from Singapore.. Anyhoo, this is a Wristy Thread...
