Lorenove06 0 Posted March 15, 2015 My father has never been a man who gives things more value than the one they deserve for their real utility. He has never judged a man by his car, his clothes, his shoes. Never cared much about watches. He owns a Franck Muller but much prefers to wear my Grandad's golden Bulova or that silver 1900 unknown wristwatch that my mother gave him the day they married. A clear memory, almost a picture before my eyes... I was 14, my father took me with him to the tennis club. A merry company of good old boys almost forced us to join them for a juice (me) and a flute of Prosecco (my father): everyone was wearing a Rolex, I suddenly realized that when they raised their glasses for the toast. Datejusts, Submariners and a couple of Yachtmasters, I recall. That was the moment. When I turned 18 you already know what I was expecting from my parents, but my father surprised me with a black velvet box containing his white gold cufflinks. There was this guy, I think he came from Morocco via France, that was the typical underground market dealer that could procure you everything. That was my first Rolex replica purchase of a Submariner. And the start of a passion that still burns today. Thank you, dad.
