Bojan 0 Posted December 11, 2010 I'm doing this already few days.....looking searching with full of saliva in my mouth :( BTW, I have been searching a bit for a answer to my Question and I'm sure it must be somewhere..........too much time for search. So I'll just shoot it to you, Please tell me for good sake why most of the reps aren’t watertight? Cheep store watches can reach 100m without any problem and I just can't get it why reps not? rgds

Answer on your Q : replicas made on chinese factories, and they don't give shit about waterproofing. They make money, and it's BBBillion dollars business. Besides, it's not easy to waterproof chronos. But!!! Some of our reps were tested and passes up to 5AT, so, don't say - all are bad...
Bojan 0 Posted December 11, 2010 I'm not saying this and I know they exist, I just wanna say this is not rocket science and would be nice having nice rep on hand also doing some wet bussines time to time :(
pollux1 3 Posted December 11, 2010 Hi Bojan, you'll find that most of the non chrono watches can be pretty easily waterproofed by greasing the seals and so on. The main problem as far as I can see is if the watch crystal is not seated properly as that will be the cause of the leak. :(
greg_r 81 Posted December 11, 2010 Welcome to RWG! The simple answer to your question is 'quality control'. I.E. there's not much of it in China. Having said that, I wouldn't take even a gen diver's watch near water without having it pressure tested. Most non-chrono reps can be made waterproof easily - and many will be fine out of the box. Just get' em tested first to be sure!
