Robin195959 2 Posted April 19, 2015 the common or garden sub as everyone has one so it must be a rep or a poorly done obscure chrono that simply looks cheap?
greg_r 84 Posted April 19, 2015 Rolex. Any Rolex. Including gen.

Robin195959 2 Posted April 19, 2015 agreed. It's the brand most people know and associate with wealth.

Chaparral 0 Posted April 19, 2015 I just visited Disneyland and there were a surprisingly large number of people wearing rolexes. I wonder how many were real. I didn't have the nerve to ask anyone about them.

webking185 9 Posted April 19, 2015 Agree. Rolex is the #1 choice, only a trained eye can spot out the ineffiencies. I would also call out any watch that is 42mm or larger. As it will be apparent that a watch at that size would be a rep. Ex. Panaerai, Bell & Ross, Hublot. The large face watches can never match a gen quality. I wear my reps 80% of the time, when I'm in mtgs or out with clients, my gens are on for sure.
ashtree 0 Posted April 19, 2015 I contest the Rolex thing. The majority of reps are extremely cheap looking, with quartz movements. I'm sure the majority are also Rolex, but I feel that the average person will notice the overall build quality and look of a watch before noticing a tiny crown on the dial. Aren 27 Posted April 19, 2015 Agree with Greg_r. Any Rolex, but particularly the Sub. Most people even think the gens are reps.
narikaa 129 Posted April 19, 2015 Though I admit that I've never understood this whole 'calling out' scenario (just what kind of invertebrate would tolerate such nonsense?) but if you're a gambling man you'll appreciate that any Rolex you see in the wild the odds are hugely in favour of it being a fake . RussP 22,669 Posted April 19, 2015 A Rolex paved with diamonds (or any other precious stones). Unless it adorns the wrist of a rapper or head of state. In the same vein any Hublot, Jacob & Co et al.

BenjaminButton 149 Posted April 19, 2015 Rolex. That's pre and post joining RWG (less than a year ago). I'd always put Rolex's in the LV bags category of so faked why would you buy a genuine. Since finding this world I question every high end piece I spot out and about.
BadPickle 2,802 Posted April 19, 2015 Why would you want to call anyone out? I certainly wouldn't dream of it, plus, unless it was something really ridiculous I probably wouldn't be able to tell, and wouldn't be bothered anyway. There's a difference between a close up on your laptop and some dudes wrist..... and my perpetually failing eyesight. Live and let live I say

You think rapper's watches are real? I don't think so, but given their penchant for all things bling...............there's a good possibility that their watches are. Whether real or otherwise, I find any paved watches on males a tad 'over the top'.
Genius 281 Posted April 19, 2015 I like to walk down the high street with a megaphone pointing at every watch I see and screaming FAKE
Robin195959 2 Posted April 19, 2015 I guess call outs are rare in reality. More likely a comment passed between friends: " see that guy on the next table?"
dalboy 2 Posted April 19, 2015 I guess call outs are rare in reality. More likely a comment passed between friends: " see that guy on the next table?" Hit it it one !! Should some one wear a Rep good or bad that is entirely their decision. All i know is that were someone to approach me to say i'm wearing a Rep they should pin back their Ear Oles to a barrage of Abuse i would normally only see fit for the Building Site Why would anyone think they have the right to say so .. Bad Manners !! Dal.
plankton 1 Posted April 19, 2015 The key is------------------------------------- if you have a shitty education, no money to speak of and you stretch for a V5 or V2 then people will usually not need to call you out. Because it is apparent. I did however get my first comment on the Sub I wore to a meeting this week, a good comment.
BenjaminButton 149 Posted April 19, 2015 I didn't take the question that literally, did the op even mean it that way? I would never actually question the authenticity of another persons anything..... As Dallboy said that would be bad manners. I assumed the question was more about which do you question in your mind when you see them.
