Hey all,

so I already had wrote this topic, but stupid internet connection at my work has dropped and when I tried to preview what I have wrote I lost connection and lost all the half hour text and pictures ! shit I am pissed, but hey will write it again....

So finally after 3 months from order I have finished this Rolex 6263 Daytona Paul Newman Chronograph franken, and even this watch brought me a lot of headaches, it was worth it ! I am very happy of the results, it looks amazingly great. So before we jump into pics here are what we did to it.

What we did and had

Watch modded Rolex 6263 Daytona Cartel version from Mary

ingod44 ROLEX DAYTONA PAUL NEWMAN MATTE DIAL IVORY WITH T SWISS T

modified Venus clones movement 6 o'clock gear and pin to accept gen/aftermarket dials

regulated movement within COSC

redrilled case tube hole and to accept gen tube and crown

rethreated thread in case to accept gen tube

Clarks tropic plexi crystal

installed gen Tube 7030

Gen crown 703

Redrilled lug holes from 1,1mm to 1,2 mm and then 1,3mm to accept gen springbars

Reshaped, aged, polished case to give worn, refurbished well cared look

This is how the watch looked before

This is how we want to look the watch close to, for the little money invested

Thanks mate ! :) The Gen uses 702/703 Crown, but 702 is really rare but thinner, but 703 crown is already noticeable improvement ! :)

Kenny

I saw your "preview video" on this sometime back....

...was wondering how you will pull off aligning the small hands on gen-dimension dial.

(spacing different from std Lemania movements)

Simply Amazing work!

Bravo!

Great work. But I don't see "Daytona" above the counter at 6?

Why?

Just curious.

haha yeah you have to modify the gear with pin to accept gen dial, only difference on hands is the 6 o'clock hand.

Great work. But I don't see "Daytona" above the counter at 6? Why? Just curious.

Thank you mate :)

The specified creame color dial didn't have Daytona written, but my customer wanted this dial color, so we went with this one.

Great work Kenny.

Thank you buddy ! :)

Great work, Kenny! I'm not a big fan of the Paul Newman dials, but the three-color white is my favorite of the exotics. Perfect watch for Christmas! :)
