credo325 0 Posted September 26, 2013 (edited) After so much debating within myself on which Panerai to go with, either the PAM 111 or the PAM320 or the PAM 318, I pulled the trigger on Josh's latest PAM 390. I wanted a vintage style Panerai, a luminor with a historic look but not crazy big, not just yet anyway. I loved the human torpedo detailing on the casebook and I like the golden hands, so the PAM 390 was the best choice for me to begin my Panerai addiction. After a brief back and forth with Josh, I placed my order and waited. From my last terrible horrible with my dead UPO, I was very nervous and very worried. Yet, I didn't have to wait long at all which was a nice change! I barely waited two weeks, and coming from Australia, that is a nice change of pace for me. I start work today at 10am, so I haven't put myself together yet, just eating breakfast as I worked on my MBA assignment when I heard a knocking at my door. I went down to open and it and low and behold, the deliver man had my box from Josh in his hands. I signed for it and took it up stairs, placing it down and waiting for the moment of truth. So, without further a do, here is my unboxing plus my thoughts on this piece. Slicing it up showed me the box it was in and my heart started racing! Moving to the box I opened it up and I started to catch a glimpse of my price... Finally out of the box I got my first real good look at it, but I was blown away by the level of care which into the package. Was a great feeling knowing how secure it was. Now I could see it and WOW was my first reaction. Already the gold detail on the hands was striking, and the cleanness of the case just impressed me. After removing the Panerai Condom, I got to feel it and it felt great. Worth the wait and the dollar for sure. Was very impressed with the engraving. Very detailed and felt great to rub over. Not as deep as the gen of course, but still very tight in comparison. (Was praying to get the numbers 1988 but all well!) Without even passing it through too much sunlight, I could already see the lume, so I took a quick pic in a shadowy area of my house and yeah, it was super lume alright. And on the wrist... perfect fit. Super comfortable and a great size for sure. Can't wait to see it wearing my suit. And last but not least, some Panerai Porn. As for the crown guard. Very firm and tight. Changing the time was very quick and easy. I wound it up very, very, slowly this time around. In the next few days I will see what happens in terms of time keeping but so far I am blown away. I have never seen this sort of quality up close and personal before. Outstanding. Highly recommend this Panerai. The PAM390 is a stunner. Edited October 11, 2013 by credo325

credo325 0 Posted September 29, 2013 After having it on my wrist all week and now the weekend, I have had so many comments on it. Feeling really good. I haven't told a lot of people it's fake, as it's really not worth the effort, but to the people I respect and like timepieces and Panerais and know that I could never afford one without selling a liver, they are amazed how good it looks and how well it keeps the time. Great feeling to be so happy with this purchase, once again, the PAM390 is a base Panerai with a lot of heart and soul. Great for the money and Josh was great to deal with. I will say... I am missing the date as I keep checking it for the date but only see the Minute and Hour hands! HAHA So... I guess the question is what is next?

black263 229 Posted October 11, 2013 Not a smart move, posting a tracking code and number, alongside a counterfeit watch review. I suppose you could always save customs a few seconds and post your full name and address as well.

cubicle_monkey 0 Posted October 12, 2013 You've put yourself on a slippery slope. Soon you'll get an extra strap or two. Then before you know it, you'll have 10 different watches which "look all the same" :P
HeavyKrush 32 Posted October 12, 2013 Wow, greet looking watch. That strap looks pretty good as well. Wear it in good health.
