Fossil Sale.....part 2.....yippee!

Recommended Posts

Del

I refer to my earlier thread about the Fossil sale:-

http://www.rwg.bz/bo...howtopic=103368

To recap, I received a new Fossil Breaker "bronzo" for Father's Day and then they put the damn thing on sale - £55 off! So, my wife was rather disgusted since she only bought it 2 weeks ago (I wasn't too happy myself tbh) so she took it back this afternoon and exchanged it for a gift card to the value of the original amount (£145)! :D

I'm not long back from the Fossil shop where I decided to buy a different model - originally priced at £165 but on sale at £105 - so I've not got a more expensive watch than I had originally plus £40 still on the gift card! :woo:

This time I decided to go with one of the "Modern Machine" Chronographs - this one is model FS5016, has a 45mm x 14mm smoked silver case, black dial with rose gold hour markers and hands, and a fantastically soft and supple 24x24mm black leather strap with cream stitching (honestly, if you'd bought this strap from one of our TDs you'd be over the moon!). It's 10bar (100m) water rated, has a quartz movement and comes with Fossil's 2-yr warranty. Oh, and it even has some lume!

Not everyone's cup of tea for sure but I rather like it! :)

Here are some unedited iPhone snaps...

Lovely pics.

It looks like an AP, Hublot, Graham and Seiko morphed into one.

Thanks for sharing.

Nothing wrong with it, but I think your 'bronzo' was a little easier on the eye

It feels a bit like wearing a Panerai Chrono or Submersible tbh. The 24mm leather strap also makes it feel like a PAM.

Nothing wrong with the Breaker "bronzo" but upon reflection I think I'll get more wear out of this one. :)

That must be a huge watch, at least 60mm to swamp a mans wrist like that :)

Absolutely! I've got wrists like a body-building gorilla so need a 60mm+ watch.......:P

(It's a 45mm watch on a 6.75mm wrist - looks worse in the pics due to the angle..... )

Count me out of any m2m sales for this particular bad boy though :giggle:

Wear in good health.

You may not have arms like a body building gorilla now but you certainly will after wearing that beast for a while. I quite like the detail between the lugs and on the side of the case. It definitely looks like a mans watch.

Ha! Didn't even notice until you mentioned it!

Thanks mate! :) It doesn't actually wear as big as it looks in the pics. Although 45mm, it wears smaller than a Skyland/Avenger/Seawolf.

 It weighs 120g so has a good weight to it but not overly heavy.

The "bronzo" didn't really do it for me if I'm honest, but this one I like a lot. Good result, mate. Enjoy!
