childishthing 1 Posted October 27, 2016 (edited) So I have a little bit of an unfair comparison... my recently acquired BP 116610LV Hulk, and my more recently acquired BK 116610LV Hulk V7. I say it's unfair because BK has done a few mods to the V7, but I'll try not to focus on them. Also, I understand this is not totally new information... it's pretty widely regarded that the V7 is the one to have, but I think the comparison is worth looking at to see just how much they differ. I got the BP "Ultimate Supreme Version" from Josh at Perfect Clones. My friends and I have bought several watches from Josh. Quick communication, good QC photos, fast shipping, great experience as always. The language barrier is a bit of a bummer for questions that don't translate well, but I've learned to ask simple questions. This was my first time ordering from BK. TEN out of TEN. He answers emails quickly, and addressed every question I had. His advertised turnaround time is about two weeks from order to shipment, but in my case, I received my watch 13 days after ordering. With that out of the way... pictures. [ALL PHOTOS TAKEN WITH MY SAMSUNG NOTE 5] A friend of mine is an AD, so I visited him recently to get a fresh camera-phone photo of the real deal. I forgot just how good the lighting is in a Rolex store - good lighting makes everything beautiful, and Rollies... are already beautiful. I digress. Take a look at the LEC... and I wasn't even trying. First thing I noticed between the two (besides the bezel insert) was the weight, so I put it on the scale. A genuine Submariner Date weighs in at 152g. BP Ultimate Noobfactory V7 Okay let's take a look at them in the light... Sheesh, that is not subtle... "Ultimate Supreme Version" my ass Noob LEC BP LEC Noob Pearl BP Ultimate pearl Noob rehaut - BK aligns the coronet to the 12, but take a look at the quality of the engraving, the font, and the quality of brushing. BP rehaut - aside from the coronet being misaligned, the font isn't as good nor is the engraving done as well. It doesn't stand out nearly as much as the Noob, or the Gen for that matter. Noob bezel gap - BK tightens the bezel, it turns just like the gen and clicks just like the gen. BP bezel gap - there is a bit of rocking bezel, but it's still pretty good. Easier to turn than gen, clicks feel pretty good. Noob BP I have mixed feelings about the two coronets, but the fact that the BP one isn't centered correctly is honestly the only real turnoff between the two. Crown (the CGs on both watches are pretty equal TBH so I didn't bother) The triplock crown on the Noob is more pronounced, and the overall crown seems better executed. Noob on the left - BP on right Noob SEL BP SEL Both bracelets are great IMO, and they sit the way they're supposed to. I haven't taken either bracelet off and put them back on, that may be another story. In my experience, they never go back on 100% as good as factory on a rep. The machining on the holes for the spring-bars seems to always be off just enough that you almost need to bend the springbar to get the bracelet to fit tight. Feel free to chime in, I'm all ears. Here I just wanted to show off how much lower the crystal sits on the BK sub than the BP, it's noticeable. BP Lastly, the lume is noticeably brighter and cleaner on the Noob (I use a UV torch (flashlight) for 30 seconds to get them to max brightness) A couple of my Citizens hanging out in the background... Thanks guys for tuning in, cheers! Edited October 27, 2016 by childishthing
Nickfive 4 Posted October 27, 2016 Nice comparison, enjoyed reading this. I'm thinking about taking the plunge on the v7 hulk myself and I think you may just have persuaded me

adaptive 8 Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) The V7's clasp is off though? its polished but should be brushed afaik Edited October 28, 2016 by adaptive

childishthing 1 Posted October 28, 2016 The V7's clasp is off though? its polished but should be brushed afaik The polished clasp is an update for production runs for late 2015+ - It is accurate. Hop on over to TRF, there are numerous discussions about it.

Dr_Rolex 3 Posted February 7, 2017 that bezel man looks like the just used stock from the 16610lv on the bp version im strongly considering a Kb hulk since Tc is still only doing the classic Lv do you recommend?
Snook 0 Posted February 14, 2017 Thanks for this, made my decision easier. This will be my next watch.
peterpl 0 Posted February 17, 2017 I'm sorry to say NONE of BK watches bezels turn like gen. Nor does any rep. The bezel clicks are night and day difference between a gen and any rep we currently have. BK just tightens the bezel and makes sure it doesnt rock or have gaps - but the click is very very far off from gen.
yllekp 1,686 Posted February 17, 2017 The Noob is a stunner. I have a funny relationship with the Hulk. I have had 4, but i never wear them. So a Regmariner Hulk does me fine. BTW The Reg one is much nicer than that BP effort. That insert looks like a 5 digit aluminium insert as for the rehaut engraving smh...........
