Last time I was in the PI, ('65) you could only get San Miguel beer....The General MacArthur family owned a monopoly on beer sales that was granted to them in gratitude for his "I shall return" promise being kept during WW2...

The good news was: it cost 25 centavos a bottle (@ 6.25 US cents!!), it was fresh, and it was a very well made beverage!!

As far as those friggin rotten eggs, I tried one once while totally drunk, and I still remember how totally vile it was!!

I'd rather eat buzzard shit !! :giggle: :giggle:

And lol @ cheesburger with cheese on top, I heard that's hip right now.

@miracle it was greenhills, prices varied considering you haggle, 200-$400ish

Arrived @ the hotel in makati this afternoon, popped round to greenbelt...

So many boutiques next to one another! Rolex, omega, jlc, Panerai, breitling, patek, Iwc, Chopard and Harry Winston in about 30 meters of mall space...

Be sure to buy some pearls over at Greenhills. Just make sure you take a local who can tell the chinese fakes from the real ones (something to to with rubbing them together and inspecting the inbuilt "flaws" under natural light).

We were able score some necklace and earring sets for about 80AUD. The equivalent back home at say... Wallace bishop are about 500-700.

Yeah mate, not planning on going to divisoria, I've heard about it. Mall of Asia today and back to greenbelt 5, again, omega was closed yesterday :( and the missus wants a little sumfin sundown from balenciaga

I'm back @ greenhills on Friday, I'll have to read up on the pearl info cause I'm quite hopeless. There's a 127 there I'll pick up too, got then down to 4500 peso last time. There was also a lovely 379 but I already have one! :( I'll take some more extensive photos of the watch markets there, quite interesting stuff
