scorpion 0 Posted September 7, 2012 Yep - I have not be doing much posting the past week as my Virgin 60Mb broadband is dead. After all the usual waste of time phone calls all week last night I had had enough and gave them the full WFT are you doing treatment. Virgin man was on the drive tonight at 4.30pm so in I went to see what was up. RATS mate, we have rats in the cable trunking and they have taken a big chunk out of your cable. Bull Shit says I but he was clearly shocked at my comment and went on to explain its a big issue and the critters love chewing the fibre optic cables. They will try to make a repair or may have to run a new cable so I shall be off line for a while. My friendly next door neighbour has kindly allowed me to access his wireless network but the signal is pretty poor due to the distance. Its like old days dial up and having to watch as a picture draws reminds me just how far technology has moved on in just a few years. Its not near to my house its in the trunking at the end of the drive and about 5 houses down the road so a cats not much use (and our new dog will eat a cat!) and neither is my rifle.
