Hi All

As you will see from my profile Im relatively new to this site but have just ordered my first rep (Tag Carrera Day/Date). I have my QC pics to confirm before shipping but as Im new to this rep experience Im not really sure what to look for. Would someone mind If i sent them the QC pics to give advice/comments?

I think you can post few pics here, there are people willing to help. Usually what you look for is if the hour markers are where they are supposed to be, hand in their position, no scratches on the crystal/case, dust on the dial etc.

The Tag Heuer logo on the dial looks very bad, we've seen a couple like this.

Should I ask for another watch or will they change the logo over?

Mine has a slight case of that but not enough to bug me. Ask for another one if it bothers you. Other than that looks great. Another problem is that sometimes the ink on the rotor is smeared but yours looks great.

oh la la. Pretty. One on order too. Looks to be 2 different watches to me. The first pic emblem looks great. Might as well ask them about it.

Same watch, look on hands - same time. Logo looks differently, because of light. Yes, slightly imperfect, but they're all the same. Won't bother me a bit.

Ouch...

The 05 and the 35 markers are misaligned from where I'm typing? 50 and 25 are looking a bit dodgy too...

Being picky though...

Just spoken to M, he says that the logo comes like that from the manufacturer, im thinking its not too bad!!! Are the hour markers really that bad??? And would it make a difference? Sorry about all the questions, just want to make sure im getting a decent rep

Compared to gen it is a little off, but not enough for it to matter to me...

I think you will be ok, lots of Carrera reps has that ''problem'' with logo. The thing is, there are so many details on this dial, it's hard to absorb them all when you have the watch on your wrist, so I think you will be ok.

I have 21j Day-date and it looks great. You won't notice these small details once on the wrist, looking at this bright macro shots is a bit diffrent then having it in person :)

Here you go two fresh pics. My logo is pretty much the same, maybe a bit less defined, but I think it's basically same. The diffrence is, I payed around 100 $ for this one, it's 21j, not 7750 like yours. I say you approve it and have it send your way, it's not a big deal IMO, hardly noticable when on wrist :)

I have this one (from MarvellousReplica). The only tells to the casual observer are the blue screws in the back (they all have these from what I have seen so far) and the watch is slightly thicker (ie deeper) than the Gen. The logo is barely noticeable... but on my model (7750) the logo looks great even under 2.5x loupes.

Can't go wrong with this one, considering the gen is £2.5K +
