risk 0 Posted January 2, 2013 Hi!! I'm new here! This forum is awesome!! Learnt much from browsing through all the guides and reviews! I am looking for a watch, But I don't have big wrists. Just below 6.5 inches, so many of the watch faces available are too big!! So many are 45mm diameter and above which look stupid on people like me. I think anything above 40mm is too big. Do you guys know any watches out there that look good but don't have such a huge diameter? I think quartz watches usually have smaller watch faces right? Thank you guys so much!! houndoggie 58 Posted January 2, 2013 there is more to how a watch wears to the physical size by numbers. a 6.5 inch should be able to wear 44mm (like a Panerai) watch without much issue and smaller. watches with divers bezels look smaller watches with chronograph bezels and/or subdials look smaller watches with short lugs look smaller
dalboy 2 Posted January 2, 2013 Welcome aboard the good ship " poverty " HD has summed it up quite well.... Just buy what you like.and enjoy it.. Dal...
houndoggie 58 Posted January 2, 2013 To add: AP ROO watches wear much larger than there indicated size B&R instrument style watches (square) wear much larger as well. To me, a maxi case submariner wears a lot bigger than the regular case submariner (both technically 40mm).
1littlegreen 1 Posted January 2, 2013 I have the same issue risk. houndoggie is right on track. I was concerned wih my "monkey arms" and small wrists, and found that Pams (44mm) do just fine. 40mm Pam 44mm Pam113 44mm Pam312 42mm ExpII Hope his gives some perspective

LightGeek 25 Posted January 2, 2013 Same like you. Here's 42mm... I can do even 45mm but it must be with a cuffed shirt or anything long sleeved. Sleeveless, I'd go no larger than the 42mm PO. For PAMs, I tried two with bracelets but they were no go. It just wasn't comfortable on a small wrist. You'll also find that some deployants are bad too just because of how wide the inner portion is. ________________ Sent from my mobile device. Please excuse the brevity of this post. PAM on bracelets wear bigger than on leather, also don't fit as comfy.

Hazz 0 Posted January 2, 2013 I have small wrists, spend some time getting the strap correct, and 47's are fine.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted January 2, 2013 I have about 71/4" wrists and I prefer the 42mm. size usually. As Houndoggie says, a lot depends on the watch as well as personal style. I just don't like the wall clock look but I do have some 46mm watches. I won't go more than that, just my 2 cents. The 40mm PAMs are under appreciated IMO -thought of 'girlie'. I don't think so, here's my 40mm. on SS (which adds weight and size)
Luthier 1 Posted January 2, 2013 40mm PAMs are great looking watches, especially for smaller wrists. Nothing "girly" there.
