ouaf 0 Posted March 9, 2013 Hi. I am hoping that one or some of the most experienced members could confirm and help me out here. I believe I read somewhere that the severity of the blueish tint you get from double AR coating differs across dealers as they might be using different techniques. I am looking at buying a rep that has double AR coating. I wanted to use the same dealer that I purchased from in the past but the black dial in the pictures shown on his website really come across as a dark blue rather than a true black. The same watch on another trusted dealer's site still has double AR but none of the pics make the dial look blueish. It's just black. So my two questions are: 1/ Can someone confirm that different dealers use different AR coating techniques leading to the blue tint being more or less pronounced (effect on the dial) 2/ Do some dealers take their pics in a way to minimize/mask the effect of the blue tint on the dial? i.e. can i trust what the pictures are showing? These are two reputable dealers from the RWG trusted dealers list. PS: I wasn't sure if it was against the rules to post the links of the two reps i am looking at. They are both dealers from the RWG Trusted dealer list. Thank you
Higs 73 Posted March 9, 2013 Dealers don't make watches (or do the AR) themselves. More often than not, there is only one current version of a watch made by one 'factory' and the TDs all source from that factory. (there are exceptions to this i.e. same watch from H and 'Noob' factory) Which watch? Which dealers? Can you link to the pics?

Higs 73 Posted March 10, 2013 From Toro: http://www.torobravo...&product_id=755 and Trusty: http://www.ttw168.co...roducts_id=5693 I like the Toro one better (Ignore the diff in the bracelet). I'm not a Tag expert - maybe someone who knows more than me will chime in - but those look like the same watch (apart from strap) to me, just photographed differently. Wriggles 12 Posted March 10, 2013 Would agree with Higs, in the same price point I'd expect they're the same watch from the same factory
