TheInthusiest 0 Posted July 12, 2013 The watch is a Longines AM 6b/159. From what i can see is that it dates back to WW2 (1942) Some of the listing for a similar watch are going in upwards of $1,100. Here are the pics. The watch has a very nice domed plexi. Which i really like. The only downside to this is this watch is WAAY to small on my wrist. it comes in at around 30-35mm. Haven't measured it yet. I am going to get this watched checked out today and also to get it appraised. If you know anything about this watch, leave a comment. I would love to hear! Thanks! jeffrx 0 Posted July 12, 2013 How much would one pay for such a watch in a thrift store?
TheInthusiest 0 Posted July 12, 2013 Unfortunately, i came really early in the morning. and 2 other guys were looking at the piece. That got me angry because i put this on hold and i also told the clerk that i would be buying it at that exact time. One guy was trying to low ball the cashier and another was going even lower. Original price was $75. I told her i would buy it for $80. She said ok to my offer. $80 was what i payed. No tax. All in cash, because thrift stores are greedy bastards. haha Did you get the 40% off ?? Dal. Sadly, no. :'(
SSTEEL 0 Posted July 12, 2013 Bargain mate, and if you send it off to watchpolisher, it would look amazing. Shame its so small though, so what you gonna do, flip it?

HeavyKrush 16 Posted July 13, 2013 Strange, the hands look like they're from a Longines Master Collection.
TheInthusiest 0 Posted July 13, 2013 Strange, the hands look like they're from a Longines Master Collection. I suspect the hands and crown are replacement. Maybe the watch was used in the war and was damaged? Who knows. Thats the beauty of this shit. LOL You just dont know. Hopefully Longines will give me a place of purchase.
