Holiday Watches ~ what do you take

Recommended Posts

Wrist-Time

At the start of the month I spent a few nights at Crieff Hydro (Scotland), then went on to have a week's holiday in Tenerife.

When I went to the hotel in Crieff I took my new Abyss, but I decided not to take any reps on my trip to Tenerife, as I didn't want to draw to much attention to myself out there. Though there's plenty lookie-lookie guys there trying their best to sell you some crap watches, but now I know better.

When I was at crieff I noticed a Rolex & a breitling, funny how I now look to see what people are wearing whereas a year ago I wouldn't of bothered.

Think I'm looking for fellow RWG's.

Anyway whilst at the airport on route to Tenerife I noticed that the guy in the straw hat ( anyone here) had a Seiko Monster (Orange).

That's the holiday watch for me.

So, I was wondering what watches you take when you go on your summer holidays.

If i am on business. I take My Rolex sub (gen) (That i have yet to take pictures off.)

For pleasure. I pick at random a rep thats in my box. :D

If its hot, something with a leather strap to allow for easy size adjustments...nothing worse than a tight watch when your wrist swells slightly.

Always a GMT or 2 timezone watch. Although not a rep, this is a favourite holiday watch for me....

Just back from my holidays in the US - took my black Seawolf and picked up a Hamilton and Orange Monster when I was there! ;)

Last two years I was in Tenerife and took a yellow Seawolf, PAM243 and Rolex GMTIIc - all waterproofed and great for the pool! :D

I take my Invicta. It's water and dustproof, and if some scrote steals it, or it gets damaged, I'm not going to spend the rest of the holiday sulking.

I take my big fat citizen diver. Cause I know I can jump in the pool with it without drowning my watch. And it's asshole proof.

Normally my IWC split minute, its light and comfortable and very practical. Has a second minute hand that can be stopped to mark time passed.

I take 5 for a 2 week holiday. One on my wrist and 4 in the 4-watch travel case :)

Just got back from the UK - was bloody hot the whole time - felt like Mexico in the summer :) I took these along with me:

I usually take a few reps and 1 mid level gen, like this. Rubber band waterproof, reliable. Plus- I won't kill myself it it gets nicked.
