MY NEW FAVORITE Vintage Relume ROLEX 6154 for Enrico

Recommended Posts

KeNnY

Hello all,

this is Rolex 6154 vintage cheapie I got from Enrico for some super vintage lume.

So I think this is my personal best vintage relume I have done in years. I am really happy with the results, with the color and it still GLOWS like a radioactive torch ! oh wau, I just can't wait to look for the finished piece. The case with crystal is going to UWE for some vintage touch up with acids and some plating, so really this will be AMAZING once finished ! :)

So enaught of mine text, lets see pics, so you will be teased before final build that Enrico will be PROUD owner, and I think this will be HOLY grail once finished !!! :)

ENJOY

Matej & I discussed this one a while - the dial from DSN was well done but the lume did not look vintage and was completely flat and weak. The transformation is spectacular, this dial now has proper character. The hands were really shiny, I told Matej I wanted a gentle aged look and he managed to tarnish them without looking like they were underwater for a decade.

Matej: thanks mate, you're a true craftsman

I'll post some pics once the watch is back - having some work also done on the case.

Damn that looks better than the Gen's! Do you use a commercial lume (if you dont mind me asking)? I make my own for vintaging but can never get it to look that 'polished'. I have either not 'dense' enough or 'lumpy' lol

Damn, M. Really nice application of the lume here.. I honestly think a little more beat up lume would look better ( for me ).
