Rep Bracelets. SS, TT, and Gold. Where Are They?

Recommended Posts

OPEN QUESTION: Is there anyone who specializes in selling rep bracelets? There are obviously, literally hundreds of different SS, TT, and gold bracelets. They come with all the reps we buy from the dealers. Hundreds of different Oyster, Jubilee, President, Beaded, Mesh, And brand specific metal bracelets in TT, SS, RG and YG with different Butterfly, Push-button, Single, and Double Locking clasp styles for all the different watchmakers from Audimars Piguet to Breitling to Cartier to Patek Philippe to Vacheron Constantin.

I asked Toro about getting a bracelet by itself when i placed my most recent order with him and he said he couldn't do it.

With such a wide variety of different rep bracelets, Is there any business or dealer out there that specializes in providing these bracelets 'A La Carte' so to speak or for sale just by themselves?

I see many dealers dealing in straps (IE: Leather, Alligator, and different animal hides, etc...), and many businesses selling their own styles of aftermarket bracelets, But i am interested in purchasing brand specific rep bracelets. The factories make them to put on the reps. There must be someone who sources them directly from the factory and sells them on their own to the retail market.

Where are they?

One TW said he could get me an omega bracelet (and bezel insert) for 165$ shipped airmail plus 25 for ems. Thought the price was too steep so I declined the purchase. That's half the price of a new rep!

Some bracelets are available from the factory, some are not.

Rolex is generally pretty easy as are a few other popular makes, but the more obscure stuff can be a problem. Sometimes the factory only make enough to supply with watches they're planning to produce, so they're less willing to sell bracelets separately.

There is no specific dealer that specialises, but some dealers are more able/willing to supply parts than others (notably WI and Silix). Best to enquire and then combine the order with a watch though...

hmmmmm...i see.

Yes. Rolex rep bracelets are rather easy to come by. I was trying to find a dealer or a business (It doesn't nessicarily have to be on the TD list, just not an obvious scam) that carries a selection of different brand specific rep bracelets.

Greg. Your response is really helpful. It just seems strange that no one sells brand specific rep bracelets. I would imagine there would be a large market for them. (Replacement for when original rep bracelet takes one too many desk dives, scratches, scuffs; The gold plating starts to wear; And just to have different bracelets to mix and match from leather to metal when the mood strikes).

Disappointing...

 true that true that

This really came about because the latest watch i ordered wasn't available with the type of bracelet I wanted, So I had to concede to get it with a leather strap. When I asked the dealer if he could sell me the bracelet I wanted on the side, He said that would not be possible. So this got me looking into buying rep bracelets on their own, Of which, I couldn't find any available.

Which led me to write this thread.

It just seems to me like selling a variety of brand specific rep bracelets would be a money making opportunity, So where are they being sold? Or if they just plain are not sold individually, I wonder why. I think Greg suggested that there wouldn't be any money in it, but I would tend to disagree with that notion.

George.

About to join the hunt...

Bought an AP Royal Oak Jumbo from a member on the M2M's... Arrived a couple of hours ago and after a while wrestling with the bracelet trying to resize it (stripped two of the crews) finally got it to the perfect size.

Then the clasp doesn't close. Not cool.

I guess now i'll just need to start seeing who can offer me one on it's own.

I'll update if i find anything

Be aware that bracelets may not be interchangeable from factory to factory even if it's the same model.
