jingo.smile 0 Posted June 14, 2014 Lol, very funny story! Could you please post pics of that "casino watch"? I'd like to know how the super reps from that time look like
PepitoGrillo 0 Posted June 14, 2014 Nice work with that pearl. Looks better than the usual cheapie, actually looks so good.
SSTEEL 0 Posted June 14, 2014 Interesting stuff that. I wonder what our lume master Matej would think of this, and if it would be suitable for dial indice?
nunu78 1,743 Posted June 14, 2014 Wow, love the story and happy for your father as his casino watch is fixed.

ElvisFreak 73 Posted June 15, 2014 Wow. I tried the glow paint stuff on a vintage Daytona and all the markers dried into funny, windy shapes, not perfectly spherical like your dot. Good skill you developed from countless surgeries?
N.Rico 1 Posted June 15, 2014 PLEASE ! dont let TDs to find out where to buy this paint !
fetasigma 0 Posted June 15, 2014 Mix it with a little resin and I bet it would be pretty long lasting as far as looks went
koala 0 Posted June 15, 2014 Hahaha good job! The pearl on my father's Ceramic Sub that only have been worn for 2 years also fell... I guess I might do this instead of sourcing for another pearl... LOL
jingo.smile 0 Posted June 16, 2014 Thanks for the picture! I must say, your pearl modding looks quite good. Here is my TC sub for comparison "pictures for insurance purposes" thats a good one

sconehead 5 Posted June 17, 2014 ...you may all be laughing at this rep...but on closer examination, I believe the 'casino' watch to be a very rare upgrade model of the famous 897S Sub, a much sought after rep and thus quite valuable to boot... ...see here, http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=
fetasigma 0 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the picture! I must say, your pearl modding looks quite good. Here is my TC sub for comparison "pictures for insurance purposes" thats a good one Jingo - perfect watch. Really perfect. Class. You have me thinking to buy a Submariner now. I had to force myself not to laugh about the insurance photos! )) It would be rude to my father ... I just printed pics for him. But for me ... it's the Omega ... he wanted another Rolex Submariner until I told him nul nul sem' ( 0 0 7 ) wears Omega. Now he keeps asking where is his James Bond Omega. He can't remember the name "Seamaster" and keeps asking me, "what's the name of my watch???" There's an old story about the 99 year old man sitting at the bus stop, crying ... We asked, Grandfather, why are you crying? ... He said, i was married for 60 years and my wife died. ... Oh, so sorry ... No, she died 15 years ago ... why are you crying ... I met a girl, she is 24 yrs old lingerie model, she is madly in love with me, she cooks, she cleans, the sex - I'm like a young man again! Boo Hoo Hoo!!! ... Grandfather, why are your crying??? ... I can't remember where I live! I told this to my father and his reaction was perfect ... he got very serious and said, "THAT'S NOT FUNNY!" Might remind your dad that Ian flemming gave bond and the original bond ( Connery) both wore rolex . I just bought my dad a good replica of the early bond watch Edited June 18, 2014 by fetasigma
fetasigma 0 Posted June 18, 2014 the rolex in question the 6538 here is connery wearing it in goldfinger, but connery wore it in most of his films here is a pbdad version of the watch that I will be buying for myself when I get back from vacation and the version I got for my own father(a slightly later model year as evident as the chronometer statement has been added) love the aged lume on this one
