tonysoprano211 0 Posted October 10, 2014 The power reserve is more than 42h. Quite ok.
stray_cat 0 Posted October 11, 2014 Thanks, bro. How about the time keeping? I just realized that my watch is ~ 10-12 sec fast within 24h. Is it worth, trying to regulate it? Without a timegrapher, no. I think that even with a timegrapher, might be best to wear it a while first. I have a few Gens with eta and a few of them are worse than yours, brand new. The worst is a Tissot with a 2824-2 that is 20 sec fast (brand new), timed over a few days and as shown by a timegrapher. The best is a Deep Blue w/2824-2 that is +1 s/d, it surprised me. Sometimes you can regulate with a timegrapher to 0, +1 s/d but on the wrist, it changes. Nice watch, wear it in good health!
xenic 0 Posted October 12, 2014 Apart from the rainbow on the cyclops and minor rehaut misalignment, the watch looks fantastic. None fo those "issues" are real issues anyways when worn, so I'm happy for you. Enjoy the watch!
mrbaldwin 0 Posted December 17, 2014 I think the watch looks great! only thing that would bother me is the crown on the rehualt
tonysoprano211 0 Posted December 17, 2014 As I really like the watch, I decided to keep it for a longer time and have a little mods done to it: Well, the crown rehault issue should be gone soon, as I have just sent the watch out for a spa treatment: complete service+regulation, AR removal (thus rainbow removal) from the cyclop+cyclom alignment, crystal height adjustment, platinuim paint mod and rehault/marker alignment and waterproofing to 5atm. Will post the pictures as soon as I receive it back.
mrbobdobalina 0 Posted December 18, 2014 Who'd you send it out to?

watchworm 0 Posted December 19, 2014 Looks really good. Congrats and wear it well some cheap solutions: Bracelet: take it off and soak it 24 hrs. in Baby Oil (Johnssons ), clean with warm water & toothbrush/paste Sharp edges: in Pafumeries they sell special Nail polish files with 4 different layers from coarse to ultrafine - get one and work over the sharp edges, also good to polish tiny scratches 1/5mm off: something for later once You have some fine screwdrivers, bluetac and an o-ring-greaser; You just open the backcase (ducttape), loosen (not unscrew) the 2 movement holder screws and give it a tiny, tiny move without forcing the stem with a toothpick - grease the backcase o-ring - put it all together - should be waterproof as well for swimming:) Just received this noob version, also from Toro, and agree with tonysoprano. My pearl looks good and centred to my nooby eyes and with the crown a fraction to left of 12 o'clock on rehaut. A nice first sub to try out before the serious stuff. Daywatch, as a nooby looking at your advice to centre rehaut crown. Is it as simple as you suggest, with no downside? If so I think I'll try my first foray inside, as it appears a limited intrusion and I could make a general visual inspection at the same time.
wdev 0 Posted December 19, 2014 Awesome example adn very nice pictures. The sub is one of the best watch designs ever made IMO God, I'm missing mine.... Can't wait to get it back from Kenny

tonysoprano211 0 Posted December 19, 2014 Thanks, everybody! Give the bracelet a spa treatment. It has spent some time in an oil bath already. Anything else I should consider?
Technit1957 0 Posted January 16, 2015 I own several gen subs and GMT 2C's, the v4 is very close and on the wrist out is almost impossible for anybody who doesn't have expert like knowledge to wonder of its gen. To me the only tell on the wrist is that the bracelet does not pop to the eye like a gen. But, congrats on your new aquisition she is beautiful.
tonysoprano211 0 Posted February 19, 2015 Back from spa: - full service (incl. keyless), COSC regulated - 5atm waterpfoof - rehault aligned - DWO aligned - PPM with anita's (that is really hard to capture - the real color changes from light grey to metalli at different light angle) - crystal height as per gen - cyclop purple hue/ar removed
