Kwt 11 Posted November 7, 2014 (edited) Hey guys, After buying reps for what seems like 10 years or so on and off, I decided to get the Holy Grail of Reps - the TC. I posted in the general section as I think a watch like this deserves to be seen by people. Ordered it through Thomas who I must say is a nice guy, polite and informative on emails. But I guess with a product that is way more expensive then even a Noob V4 sub, I probably didn't expect any less. I wanted a standard TC but with a red seconds hands for that slight twist on a classic. (I think I've decided that maxi dials and maxi case aren't for me) After waiting 45 days for it to arrive, (longest wait ever, previously it was 3 weeks) I must say I am blown away. I certainly was excited to receive it considering buying so many reps, it's almost hard to get excited about receiving one anymore. The packaging is incredible - I mean he puts the watch in a silver sealed packet for god sake! And every part of the watch had protective plastic on it. My thoughts! - The red yacht master hand is very cool. - Perfectly aligned cyclops with a suitably replicated black hole effect. - Very nice date font. - Great Pearl. - Firm Clasp. - Awesome stamping of Rolex on the metal. - Great crown. - Slick bracelet - Crisp writing on the dial. - Lovely Cadell Vintage bezel. - Great lume job. - Incredible gen like sweep due mostly to the 2824 movement Certainly feels quite gen like. I only have a couple of niggles. - the folding of the metal (where Rolex is stamped) by the clasp is quite stiff. I hope it will loosen up. - The bezel turns a bit too easily for my liking, the slightest touch and it turns. - The winding of the hands for the time feels slightly off - sluggish almost. Still this is a great watch and honestly even the Noob V4 can't touch this - you feel this watch just has all the passion and hard effort of Thomas Cadell gone into it. Enjoy the pics - it certainly stands up well against my gens the pepsi and black bay. Edited November 7, 2014 by Kwt

elchino 0 Posted November 7, 2014 Thanks for sharing! I really want to buy one but i don't know if TC can send it to Mexico (because of customs) and i've never purchased from M2M and i have no feedback.
BC1221 44 Posted November 7, 2014 (edited) this model submariner doesnt have the black hole effect and it shouldnt. Rolex didnt start AR Coating under the cyclop until later models. a lot of people do get a gen crystal with AR though. its a great watch though. i love the red second hand. wish i had gotten that. to fix the bezel, you can bend the click spring to make it stiffer. just pop the bezel off and bend the click spring twds the curve with some needle nose pliers. the clasp should loosen up over time. congrats. my TC is in constant rotation. so much so that i dont even know why i have other watches. Kwt 11 Posted November 7, 2014 (edited) Thanks all. Thanks for sharing! I really want to buy one but i don't know if TC can send it to Mexico (because of customs) and i've never purchased from M2M and i have no feedback. I don't think people have problems sending to Mexico and the fact that you don't have no feedback shouldn't be an issue if you pay first lol. this model submariner doesnt have the black hole effect and it shouldnt. Thanks man - yeah even on my pepsi, I notice there isn't any black hole but this one looks more blackhole-ish. I use to have a GMT Master IIc and the blackhole on that was incredible. The date just popped. Er I am not brave enough to pop the bezel and do that myself lol but it's good that there is a solution. Cheers. Why don't you see if you can get the red seconds hand separately? Either way very happy with this TC but it's actually a gift for my wife so I know I ain't gonna get any wear. If only they had the glide lock clasp lol, I could adjust it on the fly. Edited November 7, 2014 by Kwt
Escapizm 23 Posted November 7, 2014 Very nice I've a gen 16610 that yours looks discernible from, apart from the red second hand which I love! I've milsub getting some tlc from KenNy and one mod I asked for is a red hand. I like the simplicity of that traditional style clasp too.
MetalMickey 179 Posted November 7, 2014 Looks great. Mine has a stiff clasp too. I had my Cyclops Crystal changed as I could not get on with the annoying reflections.

If only they had the glide lock clasp lol, I could adjust it on the fly. hehe. TCs are built to gen spec so the bezel pops off really easy. not like other reps. just put some masking tape on a flat head screw driver and pop it off around the 5 o clock marker. the click spring should be at 12 but it could be anywhere honestly. you wanna go opposite of where it is. more than likely though, its at 12. heres the tutorial i used to adjust mine. http://www.rolexforu...read.php?t=8561 i just swapped crystals and got rid of the cyclop all together. i love the flat seadweller look. Kwt 11 Posted November 7, 2014 (edited) Guys, quick question - does your TC have the spring bars on the clasp that let you do the fine adjustments? I am pushing down on mine and they don't spring in. Edited November 7, 2014 by Kwt
