Kateford 0 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) I will do a full review of this, but I thought I'd share this strange event: NO LEC on the CRYSTAL!! Weird right!?!? No worries, I'll plop the gen crystal in, but I had a laugh. I adore this, and have had many MANY DSSDs of all qualities in reps and own a gen. I got this from Andrew the instant it came out,, and LOVE the high beat Asian 21 jewel power source. Sure it was quirky at first, and now it appears to be indestructible. More on that when I post a review. Included are some shots with the gen next to the rep, you can tell the gen cause of the short minute markers next to the " I SWISS MADE I" at the bottom of the dial. This is not my gen, mine is not a blue, just a standard DSSD, these photos were taken from the interwebz. In short, the pix with the 5th as the date are my rep, just as it's about to change to midnight in a few. Others who have bought one from Andrew (BP factory) have the LEC, thus the pix of the watch with the 14th as the date: same as mine from same TD from same week purchased. trailboss99 994 Posted November 9, 2014 People get so uptight about something you can barely see on the gen when there are so many more tells on the watch. Funny thing is I have NEVER heard an Omega rep owner even mention the fact there is no Omega symbol on their crystals even tho it is far more visible on the gen than the corenet is on the gen Rolex. Kateford 0 Posted November 9, 2014 My gen has it, and every DSSD rep I've ever seen has had it, and frankly I have owned or handled probably 100 or so (no exaggeration) I'm not bothered by it at all, I was posting this because I have never seen it before nor heard of it, it was more of a funny/odd thing for me to see. This evening I will place the gen crystal in it, and if it fits will post the results. As an aside, the subs tend to have a WAY TOO NOTICABLE LEC, while the Dssd's I have seen are much more accurate to gen in that it is hard as hell to spot. I like that, and expect that, so have come up with ways to spot it easily, which is why I was shocked to not see it on this rep. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Kateford 0 Posted November 10, 2014 Gen crystal fits, don't mind the dirt and glue residue from the factory crystal, this was a test fitting.....
