Most importantly

It is the Watch you actually ordered !!

Any other flaws , Hands missing , damage , etc The rest is all common sense .

pubes.

;)

Just that the watch is what you ordered and that there are no obvious problems (i.e scuffs, scrapes, bits falling off etc.)

Check for hour marker alignment, chips/scratches in sapphire, etc.

Not saying to put a loupe to the screen, just make sure it looks right and tight...

I look for what nail polish the TD uses.

Look very carefully and see if you can see a watch. If you see one that looks familiar, maybe one that you ordered, then that's a good start.

Reflections in the polished case.

Who was that guy about a year or so ago that sold a watch in m2m and took the pics on the ground while sitting spread eagle in his boxers?

Just curious - have you actually ever seen pubes in QC pitcures? Thats a pass any day in my book.

Depends on what watch You´re buying, not too much except all already said to look for on the 511, one of the easier ones.

I believe that TDs should use this strategy for QC pics when they're dealing with picky customers:

If the watch is not close to the one you ordered, don't worry. It was already shipped. $20 off next order.

Just remember to confirm or to ask questions if you have doubts

Be quick with the examination of the pics. The recent issue that I had was caused by taking two hours to check my email. When I emailed to say the color and the strap were wrong, I was told that it was shipped because they never heard from me. Be quick. Toro gives you time and has been good about QC pics.
