bimmerpilot 0 Posted December 17, 2010 600 bucks for an "old school" Breitling Ti Seawolf that I sold to finance my bike, Still miss that watch like MAD! Years ago when I was learning to fly, the real "pro" pilots wore Breitling's. I was scrimping $20 a week from my measly $300.00 weekly paycheck to spend a hour flying every 2-weeks. A Navitimer was my dream watch.

greg_r 81 Posted December 17, 2010 Being a well-known cheapskate: $300 (which is around the limit of my 'comfort zone' for reps - it would have to be something exceptional to get me over that price). I have quite a few around that level though...

solkryssare 109 Posted December 17, 2010 1000 usd on what I thought was a high end franken 1665, It was not..... What's the story, Solk? I was a young and naive Rollie padawan. Still am And I was scammed by member "Verbal Kint", on RG, into buying an insanely over priced 1665. Not only was the watch sold to me for more than twice the amount it was worth, the specs were also very much misrepresented. Such as movement, gen parts and mods done/not done to it. Verbal went under ground immediately after the sale. SFA was of course very helpful, but the fucker was not to be found.
