$351 for an incoming Ploprof V2 from Mary...

The lust for this watch led me to find RWG, and is the reason I started collecting reps. After a fail start with a V1, I finally ordered a V2. Almost one year to the day after starting my search for this watch, it is joining the collection and happily my collection will be complete.

Well worth the $351 IMO!

$470 for a Seawolf - It's so easy to get caught up in all the BS. I almost sprang for a LH 111h - glad I didn't.

Like Doc, before I got here I bought alot from the scam sites especially Best Swiss and Ideal. I paid about

$1000 for each of these Rollie TT. I have to say they are nice! Good 14kt. wrap and work great after 4 years. I think the Daytona may have a real 7750.

I have a "Platinum" DD form BestSwiss I think I paid around $700-800 dollars for several years ago. It still works and looks good. Since I have become more educated, I have not spent more than $300 for a watch.

$230 for a Skyland Black Steel

I'm not crazy about spending a fortune on a replica watch. Just doesn't make sense.

Don't show the flyingdutchman pics of a gold watch he doesn't already own. It's like showing a dry drunk a pic of a bottle of vodka. B)

$300 for VC Partrimony from Mary. Not bad, but also not the best bang for the buck.

Anyhow I have learnt that the out of the box cost with many (in particular dress watches) is just the initial cost. As such it can be somewhat misleading. What really matters is total cost.
