KW/V6F Panerai Carbotech 616 small review

Anyone know about Gen's weight?

Since the rep is made of the same materials (more or less) we can expect a +-10% of difference

I just got it ~! It feels little bit heavy than I expected.

I expected really light weight feeling due to carbotech. Anyway really nice outfit .

Anyone recommend for leather strap for this kid??

The above pic the striped effect looks so much more prominent. Is this just the lighting or is it always that striped? Currently deciding between this and a bronzo

From what I've seen they look a little too stripped for me. You can always get a 508 which is a super rep imo

It's dependent on the angle which the light hits the watch. Of course to highlight the unique feature of the watch, people always take photos that show the stripes (right picture). Sometimes it looks like the PAM508 with the blue highlights (left picture). :)

This is the best overview pic of the 616 I have seen and it makes me think about it again- I have the 508, BUT ! ! !

I wish you would all stop bumping this. I don't like PAMs, OK? I already have a Bronzo which is really something special and this one is looking quite desirable too.

Great review and beautiful rep. I just got my pam188 from PC last week and am already craving for a new one. :) Both PC and Kuvarsit offer this one with 7750 or st2555. I'm leaning towards the seagull. What do you think?

Is the Carbotech available with the 2555? Didn't know. I'd go for it although my 382 with a 2555 was doa.

Gimme a link!

Sorry I didn't thank you before. Only just saw this. Appreciate your answer.

I'm waiting for one to appear on M2M. I'd really enjoy it.

Yeah, great review. Trying this out based on your review. No pressure. Just my first rep. LOL :)

Was hard to see from my QC whether the bezel has been improved, but even with this small inconsistency I can already tell I will be very happy.

Thank you for the review. Even almost a year later this topic is very useful. And guessing people will find it so for years to come.

so we can conclude that is quite hard to rep a carbon case?

It's not so much a carbon case is hard to rep but this specific one with the three well defined shades is difficult. I was about to order one but wanted to wait and see if this ever improved.

I'm now doubtful they will ever nail the three different shades the way the gen is. Still a lovely watch!

Saw the thread, read through it and decided to order one unit from Chazingtime. Just got the QC photos and I must say they look pretty darn good! Hopefully will get the watch in a few days time.

Incidentally, im in China and wondering if they have stores where I can go in and browse the high end reps? So far I found a few in Shenzhen but only deal in sub 500rmb watches as they say high end watches are too expensive to keep as stock.
