Serious simple question...

Recommended Posts

Right, with the rolex reps getting very good thesedays, my question is why dont they put 3 dots underneath the crown on the weel(what you adjust the time with sorry its not the correct name) they put 2, is that because it would be a copyright type of thing?

Cheers

Uhm...

You mean like this?

They do - that photo is of a rep currently offered by one of our sellers.

Depends on the watch.

Mine all have 3 dots except my vintage DJ's which have a solid bar under the crown and are gen crowns.

It depends on the age and model. 3 dots are triplock and two are twinlock. Has to do with the number of gaskets used.

Either is correct as KBH has stated, it depends on the watch.

Any and all non vintage Sub reps will have three dots.

Turns out 2 dots on the twinlock crowns meant white gold. Which kind of watch do you have, a Presidential Daydate?

Believe it should have the straight line, then.

That definitely shouldn't have 3 dots, as the DJ doesn't have a triplock crown.

That particular one is a ceramic sub from BK (first photo I found).

Right, that's what we're trying to say... 3 dots wouldn't be correct for your watch/crown combo anyway. 2 dots is closer to being correct, but it really needs the straight bar for your particular watch.
