Jay123 0 Posted December 27, 2010 Right, with the rolex reps getting very good thesedays, my question is why dont they put 3 dots underneath the crown on the weel(what you adjust the time with sorry its not the correct name) they put 2, is that because it would be a copyright type of thing? Cheers
greg_r 81 Posted December 27, 2010 Uhm... You mean like this? They do - that photo is of a rep currently offered by one of our sellers. Depends on the watch.
KBH 7 Posted December 27, 2010 Mine all have 3 dots except my vintage DJ's which have a solid bar under the crown and are gen crowns. It depends on the age and model. 3 dots are triplock and two are twinlock. Has to do with the number of gaskets used.
Jay123 0 Posted December 27, 2010 My rep has 2 dots and yes i thats what i mean greg mate May i ask which seller is offering these? Thanks
trailboss99 996 Posted December 27, 2010 Either is correct as KBH has stated, it depends on the watch. Any and all non vintage Sub reps will have three dots. Col
wizawuza 0 Posted December 27, 2010 my ceramic submariner from lay (replicamake) has 3 dots
KBH 7 Posted December 27, 2010 Turns out 2 dots on the twinlock crowns meant white gold. Which kind of watch do you have, a Presidential Daydate?

Aren 27 Posted December 27, 2010 Turns out 2 dots on the earlier crowns meant white gold. Which kind of watch do you have, a Presidential Daydate? I just checked the Milgauss from Lay and it has a straight line, as in photo #1 Great ID pix...thanks
KBH 7 Posted December 27, 2010 datejust 2 two toned mate Believe it should have the straight line, then.
PatronSaintofChainsaws 1 Posted December 27, 2010 datejust 2 two toned mate That definitely shouldn't have 3 dots, as the DJ doesn't have a triplock crown.

It has 2 dots mate Right, that's what we're trying to say... 3 dots wouldn't be correct for your watch/crown combo anyway. 2 dots is closer to being correct, but it really needs the straight bar for your particular watch.
