KBH 7 Posted December 27, 2010 Soapy water and a toothbrush will work or jewelry cleaner. Somebody gave me a spray bottle of jewelry cleaner called "Purple Magic" which seems to work real well, particularly on gold plate. I think it's just type of glass cleaner with alcohol as the active ingredient.

KBH 7 Posted December 27, 2010 Will soapy water not fade my gold plating no? Never heard of it doing that as long as you wash it all off. I can't think of any reason why it would as long as there's nothing abrasive in the soap.
