Need help with A7750 stem/crown.

The thread on the crown of my IWC Cousteau was stripped off, and I recieved new crown with stem from Mary, and today I opened the watch, and tried to insert new stem with crown. No luck.

First - I noticed, that A7750 mov't has no any holders. When I pulled old stem out, the movement was freed from case. As I said - there's no any holders. Strange...

Anyway, as I was adviced, I pushed the small button near stem, and it allowed me to pull the stem out.

Strangely, the button stays in pressed down position, as you can see on the pictures. And I can't insert the new stem into the mov't. New stem is identical to the old one. I tried in many positions, still no luck.

Any help?

That stem release button looks way too depressed, probably has something to do with the time of year  Sorry, couldn't resist

It does seem to be pushed in too much, so I'd bet your keyless is f'd up.

In the future, I would get a thumb tack and just push lightly on the button. Do it a few times, just to get an idea of how much pressure is actually needed.
