mondeov6 0 Posted January 5, 2011 Picked these two Parnis homages up from e-bay before Christmas. I was lucky to get them both at very decent prices. The Flightdeck Chrono was just over 32$ and the "Big Pilot" was 40$, shipping was just over 9$ each. Both very nice watches. Seller was "linglingwatches". I did buy both these watches as future presents but I will keep the Flightdeck. Yes... I already have another Parnis Flightdeck but for some reason I really like the contrast between the black and white on this one. It is now on a spare black strap from Tat and I think the white stiching on it suits the watch very well. The Flightdeck is a quartz chrono has a black PVD coated case, black and white hands and black hour markers, the size is 50mm. The BP has an Asian 6497 hand wind movement a pretty decent strap with deployant clasp, grey dial and white hands and markers. Size is 44mm. As you can see from the lume shot the BP has a pretty decent lume. The Flightdeck on the other hand....well pretty useless lume. The lume on my other Flighdeck (orange markers) is better but ....nothing to write home about really. And!.... none of them has any lume what so ever on the hands!!... so you can not tell time when dark anyway! Isn't that just a tad stupid?? Some pictures... mondeov6 0 Posted January 8, 2011 How big does the flightdeck look on your wrist and is the band anygood? My wrist is 7,5"-ish and 50-52mm is really the "upper limit" for me. The Parnis does not feel to big and since it is a "lefty" the huge crown and pushers do not bother you when you bend the wrist. The strap from Tat is very smooth, comfortable and well made.
