tictoc 0 Posted January 12, 2011 I'm new to all of this and need some advise to get started. I have decided to purchase 3 watches and i would like to order them before the holiday period in china. I am torn between who to order them from as i have gone through loads of sites and picked out the watches that appear to meet with what i want. Two sites offer the watches and there is next to nothing between the two in terms of price. I am down to Replicamake.com and Timeshop.net. Obviously a three watch purchase is not a big order but i just want some re-assuring that the two i have short listed are worth dealing with. Hope someone out there can help me as i am last at this point. Thank you in advance for some re-assuring help. best wishes TT
SteveA 309 Posted January 12, 2011 So what have you chosen to buy then ?Have you tried House of Souvenirs Lawrence seems very helpful
Akira 0 Posted January 12, 2011 I advice you to buy from Replicamake Lay is a good dealer, great QC. Since you are new to this, hes a good choice, since he will answer your questions. Moreover you'll get pictures and a video from the actual watch you will receive. He can ship though UK if your country has costum problems. Go for Lay

Del 4,473 Posted January 12, 2011 Now that you've selected the watches you want, and you have identified two Trusted Dealers to buy them from, it is really personal preference after that. Some people will tell you they prefer TS, others RM, some neither, etc... I have bought several watches from TS within the last 6 months and they have all been superb with no issues. I haven't purchased from RM but others have posted great experiences dealing with them. Either way, you will get good watches and good after-sales service if it is required. Good luck . Tristan123 0 Posted January 12, 2011 I have actually ordered from both and each dealer were seemless but all i can say is my next purchase will be from RM,

Aren 27 Posted January 12, 2011 Hi tictoc, Between the two dealers I would choose Lay. As Akira said you get a photo and a video of your exact watch. I had a completely smooth transaction with RM. My first rep came from RM and I was very pleased. I don't know what you are ordering, but for whatever it is worth, I would avoid the 7750 movements unless you read up on them. With the 7750's I think you need to be an educated consumer. Some people confuse disappointment with the watch movement with disappointment with the dealer. IMO (which isn't very knowledgeable) I find the 7750 movement to appear to be unreliable by it's nature. I don't know how to work on a watch, and can't oil and service a new watch. Some members like the 7750's, but most of them appear to be veterans not newbies. For me as a newer rep buyer. I want something bulletproof. I have read good things about TS, but don't have personal experience with them. I think the important thing is to choose the most reliable reps to start out with, because I think you won't go wrong with the trusted dealers here. There are plenty of great reviews here. You can find them in the search box, or just ask. All the Best in your purchases. Can't wait for the photos and the reviews. Arenaria

jonnyboy 0 Posted January 12, 2011 I'm a newbie as well, and I've been looking at similar watches as you for my first purchase (Tag, Omega etc). Between Lay and TS, I would go with Lay for my first purchase for the simple reason that Lay will replace your watch if its stopped in customs. TS wont replace your watch to the same extent. IYO what movement would you look for on those watches? Thanks TT Rolex Sea Dweller (not deep sea as its too big IMO)...these may be tough to find. I do not think they are repped anymore. Maybe go with the submariner. I like the swiss eta version of these personally Rolex Daytona (all stainless)---there are loads of info here about the a7750 movement in this watch. A time bomb to tell the truth as the 'second hand' location is really not designed for this movement. If you must, get the 21J version, save yourself some cash, and forget about the chrono functions and you will be fine. TAG Monaco ---I would go with the a7750 movement here. I do not believe there are any issues with this movement in this watch Omega Speedmaster---either a7750 or Lemania ( it is not really Lemania, but that is what it will show).....there are several different designs on this watch so it depends which one you actually want hope this helps

My only addition would be to go with the Lemania (ST-19) version of the Speedmaster as it's definitely the best of the lot. Good luck.
tictoc 0 Posted January 13, 2011 Thank you for your help. In the end i have split my bets and ordered 1 watch from each dealer. The Sea Dweller from TS and the Daytona from Replica. I have left the monaco and/or omega until i see how i go with these. Cheers TT
fragzzone 0 Posted January 13, 2011 I've been very pleased with TS and their prices, check my recent post. http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum...showtopic=10665 I will give Lay a try soon though
